Nintendo Switch

Post by Hush »

Caved and bought one with Zelda, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Puyo Puyo Tetris (because what's a Nintendo handheld without some form of Tetris?).

Would love to see a proper GTA (or RDR) spin-off. Also, an Xcom sequel (or at least a port) would be sweet to have portable. Because of the flexibility of the portable aspect, I can see this system getting more play than the Xbox One. Some kind of golf game would be nice as well.

Puyo is a cool little puzzle game. Puyo itself differs from Tetris a lot in that it's all about setting up combos/chains, which forces your brain to think much differently than Tetris.

Street Fighter looks cool, but I know I wouldn't play it as I haven't been into fighting games since the SNES.

yeah i fw puyo pop on gameboy deep. moreso asking about this version. 8chain baby

even if you dfw fighting games i'd cop smash bros when a new one comes out. not sure how they're gonna do it on switch tho. the competitive scene requires gamecube controllers -- all versions since melee have been compatible. but i don't see how they're gonna plug a gc controller into the switch.

Super Mario Maker 2 has been out for a year now, that still keeps my interest on a regular basis. Did a write-up for the anniversary here:

https://massmediaconsumption.blogspot.c ... ker-2.html

(It features a list of YouTubers I like, an infographic I did, and a YouTube video reupload of some random guy playing a couple courses I built.)

If anybody else here plays and wants to link to their Maker ID, I'd be happy to check out some Phila fam created levels.
