Windows Movie Maker Project

Post by Knoxx »

My girlfriend and her friend made a few "music videos" with this Windows Movie Maker Project program. They are all quicktime movie files, but they don't play when we try to open them. This is what pops up:

"Couldn't open the file "blah blah" because a necessary data reference could not be resolved."

Anybody have any idea what the problem is?

Peace

I do know this much....Windows Movie Maker only supports Windows files like mpeg, wmv and asf....It can read avi's too.....

Quicktime might have taken the association for one of these, try right clicking and tell Windows to open with Windows Media Player......

If they are .mov files, then they did not come from Windows Movie Maker.

Okay, when I try to play the files using Windows Media Player it says:

"Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported."

These are .mov files. I just assumed they were created with the Windows Movie Maker because the program is also on the CD.

Good looking out though squ1d. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I haven't had such problems, just some others:

-I can only burn one to cd.

-the colors totally change up from the saved file (on my cpu) to the burned to cd version.

It's a cool program to mess with, has more transition and effects capabilities than the iMovie I mess with at the library.
