so i just got a 200 gig western digital harddrive and i find out its a EIDE but my connections are IDE...is there an adapter that i can buy to to convert from EIDE connection to IDE so i can use this?

Yeah IDE and EIDE are both ATA compatible.

no, what i should have said was ATA / SATA. rakesh schooled me, i'm just going to get a new case mobo/chip...i'm way overdue anyway.
