Looks like this is finally out on the 14th. I'm hesitant to give EA money these days, but it looks like this game is a winner for those burned out on the Tony Hawk trick/revert/manual combo-combo-combo approach. Anyone else planning on picking this up?

Yeah seems dope that it looks like it will be more realistic and harder to master than the tony hawk series games. May pick it up but not sure yet.

looking at new games out recently, im torn between not buying or playing any of these until i actually buy a 360 or ps3

the demo is pretty great. I think I'm probably gonna pick this up over the weekend.
I haven't played a skateboarding game since the THPS series (which I was addicted to like crack).
The online shit with this game should be pretty remarkable. I hope, anyway.

I've heard two opinions on this game from people who've played the demos. One person said it was dope and the other said it was lame. Also, one is a skater and the others skating experience doesn't go past knowing what a Christ Air is.

That said, this game is a keeper.

I've been playing the demo over the last couple of days and found it to be loads of fun. There's definitely something more organic about it than THPS. I look forward to copping the full version on Friday.

yeah im picking this up asap.

ive been playing that one skate park in the demo for over a week now and im still not even close to being sick of it, so the thought of more even better areas to skate around is fucking ill.

this has tony hawk beat hands down.

i am so fucking helplessly addicted to the demo, been playing it daily since it came out and i'm still not bored. it's probably for the best that my xbox got the red ring of death on monday and is currently off for repairs. will be getting this game as soon as it's out.

I like it a lot. I have been playing the demo for a month now. the physics are pretty good, and it is much more realistic than Tony Hawk ever was. You truly have to go at obstacles at the right angle to do tricks. There are some cheesy over the top things in the game but it is pretty true. I will be buying it for sure.

demo is addicting. The realistic feel of it is what makes me like this 10x better than Tony Hawk. The environments are to scale, and you feel pretty damn good when you land a combo. Landed a triple kickflip earlier and figured out 360 flips...

very disappointed in the game. I thought it was going to be a lot harder, you have to tony hawk shit to get the challenges done. It is a step in the right direction, but it was only a baby step. they should have made it really hard to do tricks.

I just traded in Madden for this because it ran like shit on PS3, I'm lovin' Skate though.
