Incredibly tough. You've got some of the best slashers (Halloween, TCM, ANOES, Child's Play) up against some of the classiest horrors (Shining, Rosemary's, Psycho) and some of the downright scariest movies ever made and a few flicks that are just awesome.

Rosemary's Baby for me. Mia Farrow's paranoia is brilliant and Polanski knows exactly how to create and unsettling atmosphere. The score is one of the best soundtracks to a horrormovie ever.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

Same here. I never vote in polls where I haven't seen all of the choices. That's the only one I haven't seen.

abstaining from voting cause i haven't seen them all. i would pick rosemary's baby though, it's psychologically disturbing in a way that others aren't. shining for example shows a lot of weird shit that messes with your head. but in rosemary's baby i actually began to question my own sanity.

The Entity is really good. Definitely an oddball on the list, but a great horror flick nonetheless.

Racial overtones of Night of the Living Dead are >>> and its pacing is still watchable today, that being said Gotta go Halloween or Kubricks The Shining

All movies infinitely watchable

Guess I'm the only one who hates The Shining. The ABC miniseries > Kubrick's film to me

I forgot all about that miniseries. I actually want to check that out again. I know that it was true to the book where as Kubrick's version made quite a few alterations to the original storyline. I'm sure King pushed for the miniseries because from what I've heard he wasn't really happy with what Kubrick did with his novel.

Yeah the miniseries was all King (he wrote the teleplay too). I loved the book before I ever saw the movie so I'm incapable of judging it objectively. Thought the casting in particular was pretty awful.
