Cool interview with RZA with hints on what to expect from his first movie as a director.

I don't like "a lot of women in this film".. After Kill Bill I don't need anymore lead females in kungfu, western, and action movies.

seek out trailer for 'bitchslap', might change your mind on this

i'm hyped for this especially since he dug up Robert Tai from whatever southasian hellhole that dude was hiding in, but i have a sinking feeling that much like the bobby digital movie this will never see the light of day. he's been talking about this for years now and there's never been more than a few production clips of concrete evidence that it's actually being filmed

Very minor update from Eli Roth on the film
What is the status of Man with the Iron Fist?

Eli: Thatג€™s something weג€™re putting together and looking to shoot in late Fall in China. Weג€™re actually location scouting in September.

I think Marvel have Iron Fist in the works, I'm guessing RZA's project might need to find an alternative title if this does indeed get off the ground.

They do have some dude writing a script for it (hopefully, it doesn't suck as I actually am a big fan of the recent work they've done to make Iron Fist a non-shitty character), and likely by the time this actually goes into production the Iron Fist movie will have been out for a decade.

Sick movie.

I'm hyped for this RZA joint and would also like to see that Bobby Digital Movie (fat chance right). The trailer makes it seem like it could be on some classic B-Movie so-bad-it's-funny shit. If and when Man With The Iron Fist comes out, they should release this direct to DVD.

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UzRPx2UT3zQ?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UzRPx2UT3zQ?fs ... n_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Though I'm not an expert in copyright law or anything like that I don't think that The Man With The Iron Fist conflicts with the Marvel film. If there's a character in this movie who is explicitly named Iron Fist it might be a different story.

ussell Crowe to Star in RZAג€™s Kung Fu Flick THE MAN WITH THE IRON FIST

Russell Crowe has signed on to star opposite RZA in the kung fu film The Man with the Iron Fist. Speaking to E! Online, RZA (who co-wrote the script and will also direct) wouldnג€™t talk about Croweג€™s role in the film other than to say, ג€œRussellג€™s gonna be the baddest man alive. That man is in fighting shape. That man will knock you out.ג€ RZA, who will play ג€œa weapons-making village blacksmith in feudal Chinaג€, added ג€œItג€™s nerve-wracking. [Crowe's] a master of the craft. Iג€™m quite sure that I may learn something from him.ג€ Filming is set to begin in December in Shanghai. Eli Roth is a co-producer and co-writer on the movie.

RZA and Crowe previously worked together in Ridley Scottג€™s American Gangster and even recorded a song together, but the filmג€™s producers decided not to use it on the soundtrack. The two are also co-starring in Paul Haggisג€™ thriller The Next Three Days, which opens on November 19th.

A friend of mine created this credit sequence for what he imagined the Bobby Digital movie would look like...
