Yeah it's pretty violent

and the music kerfuffle was vastly overstated too, it's mostly just generic movie score music like everything else that comes out

Jigsaw was basically pretty fucking awesome

too much parkour, not that there's very much but there shouldn't be any

yeah, it was fun, like a 7.9

saw this last night, i'm about 95% satistfied in what i wanted out of it

marvelously stupid, rediculously overracted, retardedly violent. titus pullo did a good job as castle, much better than tomas jane. hilarious villains, i don't know why people were complaining about jigsaw's brother, to me a violent cannibalistic karate retard is a pretty good foil for punisher.

i didn't mind teh parkour, there wasn't much at all and it lent itself to one of the best moments in the movie

my only complaint really is that it's a bit low on action in the middle. there's a huge gunfight in the beginning and end, but the middle is mostly littred with short burst of extremely gory violence.

LOL at all the neon, and the psychadelic church taht looked like it had blacklight posters of jesus

Haha, yeah that was amazing.

I agree with pretty much everything Drizzle said, this shit was awesome. I really liked both Punisher movies up to this one, and this one didn't dissapoint.

So many awesome gore effects. Dominic West killed it as Jigsaw and Ray Stevenson was pretty much born to play Frank.Microchip was cool too.

The cienemtography/set pieces were actually really good too. I have a feeling this would get even better on repeat viewings for me.

Gonna go watch it again this week...Fucking shame it only did like 4.8 Million. :-(

Great flick. Thought this Punisher was better than the last one. And some of the ways the killings went down in that movie were .

Did anyone else laugh when the brotha that was a fed tell the Punisher that he had the right to shut the fuck up? It was the way he said that cracked me up.

LOL...Yeah, I thought hat whole scene with him and Frank was kind of a throw back to They Live too.

I'm know I'm particularly :lastweek: on this, but this evening I finally had a chance to witness this glorious motion picture and I really enjoyed it.

Hearing Patton Oswalt interview the director on "How Did This Get Made?" got me interested in it, and it did not disappoint.

Check out the interview here - http://www.earwolf.com/episode/punisher-war-zone/

Almost three years after you've all seen it, how has it held up upon repeat viewings?

Seen it twice. Loved it both times. Don't think I'll ever see it again though.

Yeah big fan, way better than the first. Have it on bluray.
Titus Pullo is perfect for the role and McNulty gives one of the most enjoyable bad-acting performances ever. Like seriously the worst wop accent of all time.

the how did it get made interviw is incredible. the director said all of mcnulty's choices were hers btw & that she was intentionally making a super violent b-movie translation of the comic & no critics got it

the irony in all this is that even though the tom jane one is explicitly based on Ennis' punisher run, this one nails Ennis' tone and vibe much better

That was better than the 2004 movie. Not in the same league as the Stevenson one though.

Definitely.

Still love the Stevenson film. One of the better b-movies made in the last 5 years for sure.
