Brougham33 wrote:I could see that, and that makes sense because even though Walt is insane, he should understand he doesn't have the distribution reach. I really thought this 8 episode half would end in Hank finally learning that Walt is Heisenberg, and that still might be the case, the way Declan was probing Mike about the blue stuff and the title of the upcoming episode being "say my name" has me thinking Declan might be DEA or atleast working with them. I think Mike has been slipping and breaking against his own rules this entire season, so it would make sense if he got duped by this supposed connection. But then again Walt doesn't have an empire yet, and I guess he has to be Scarface for a bit before everything burns...so yeah, the partnership makes sense even though we only have 10 episodes left.
:leon: you make my initial thought seem a bit more plausible
In previews for next episode it showed Hank throwing the blue meth in front of Declan and say he was Heisenberg, so I don't think he can be an agent unless Hank goes on the run very soon after.
hank or walt?
if Declan then has to prove to Hank that he isnt Heisenberg, he might cut a deal to lead Hank to Mike/Walt as he knows that they're the source of the blue meth.

aww.. yeah walt is definitely an asshole..

i don't get did he do it because he wanted to tie up loose ends (even though as jesse said there's no way mike would flip) or just cause he was pissed at the argument? i think the latter..

Walt didn't like that Mike never fell in line. He's just a killer now, there was no strategic benefit to Walt for killing Mike.

Damn.

I'm legit mad.

Too many half measures.

Walt had the weight of his stupidity crash on him immediately after pulling that trigger. He is fucked.

Mike went out like a G with that last line.

^^ yeah.. that's what i was thinking.. but he did take the gun out ahead of time like he knew he might have to do him.. but then that speech he gives right before mike dies would suggest it was just because the argument.. so i'm still thinking he just wanted mike to fall in line..

I say a combination of a lot of things. This shit was long over due b/w Mike & Walt. I realize this is the way it has to be for the show to move on, but with Mike being established as such a shrewd OG, it seems he never gave Walt the proper dues one should give to an unpredictable nutjob that is Walt. What was up with Mike choosing Walt to get the bag for him instead of Jesse? Why choose Walt, who u obviously don't trust, to do something for u in your most dire need when u gotta get outta dodge pronto?

He didn't want jesse to get bagged due to 'son i never had' vibes

i think walt's reaction right after the gun went off is the first genuine scared bitch walter white we have seen in a couple seasons, he went back into sleazeball-in-denial mode right after he saw mike was gutted though

walt will try to manipulate todd the way he does everyone else but he doesn't realize todd is a sociopath too

You knew something was happening to Mike by the time the ep ended. I was just waiting and then he dropped the :copy: on Walt that pushed him over the limit. He did go out like a G though.

If the rest of the season in '13 is as good as the start of this years then we just might see the greatest TV show of all-time come to an end.

yeah seemed kinda obvious mike was dying during that scene the DEA is raiding his house and the's watching that movie on tv. the lines in the movie foreshadow his death

I :spidey:'ed out in that scene, now I know why

The last scene yesterday made me forgive them for how over the top walter has gotten this season, at first I wasn't sure if they were just overwriting his character a tad or if they just really wanted to start showing the stark contrast between who walter perceives himself to be and how he actually is. I think them having that cowardly, pathetic takedown of mike at the end of the same episode where he finally reveals himself as heisenberg was meant to drive that point home even more

That's exactly what he's going to offer to do, cook for the competition, to keep cooking.

Then, obviously, he double crosses everyone. That's what he does every time.
