For anyone who's read the comics, does this season seem like Kirkman is basically re-doing the story in a better way? ie, Governor not being some over the top hick. imo, all the changes they've made have been for the better... so far.

worst is that scene was ill til the kid piped up. daryl slowly telling the story as they're clearing out the cell block. t-dawg jr in the background casting shadows. then this little shitstain who can't act has to talk. nobody would care if you fire him and find a kid who can act. nobody would complain just do it please.

rick realizing the phone call was from heaven was a great scene too. he finally lets it all out/semi breaks down confessing to laurie. CUT. no don't have that dumb bitch respond and say anything. the point was for him to let his emotions flow period. fucking laurie ruining scenes from beyond the grave.

The Carl apologists are very unsettling. Forgetting for a moment that the actor portraying Carl is awful, Carl the character is responsible for almost every unpopular storyline not involving people named Sofia (but also the Sofia thing too because they were friends or something and Carl felt it necessary to have daily softbatch heart to hearts with his cunt mother while she was missing) or Dale.

He's approaching wildlife and getting shot.
He's talking back to Daryl.
He's attained menarche.
He's setting zombies loose so they can later sneak up on old bucket hat ass Dale and kill him. Props on this one, truthfully.
He's trying to smash.

It's like, hey Carl... shut the fuck up dude. People are dealing with real shit out here. There's a dude who's kid is a zombie, and you know what? He's got the better deal. Your parents used to fuck right next to you and call you a faggot after you fell asleep. How does that feel?

Need to cut Carl out of all remaining unfilmed episodes, and immediately start auditioning for the part. Maybe Haley Joel osment is available. Or Daniel day lewis

This season keeps getting better and better. I think it's taken as big a step up from S2 to S3 as it did from S1 to S2.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that they're following the comic much more closely than ever before which will always be a good idea.

Don't get me wrong, the show still has issues - abruptly giving up on chasing Michonne halfway through this episode for instance - but it moves along at a far brisker pace than it ever has before, and the entertainment value is through the roof.

That last shot with Michonne at the prison gate was fucking badass.
