Anyone else catch the first episode? The sketches were awful. They opened with a fucking Two Girls One Cup bit. The woman on the street stuff was pointless and it seemed like she was just leading them so she could do her material. Amy interviewing the supermodel was actually really good, though. Because it didn't sound scripted or forced, and it let both Amy and the supermodel's natural humor come through. I guess they want to avoid comparisons to Chelsea Lately, but I think that's the route they should go with this show. Otherwise, it's an unfunny retread of Nick Swardson's show. I won't catch every episode, but I'll check in with it down the road to see what direction they take.

benson (the editing and cuts really hurt this show and it failed after a handful of episodes, also i have never seen doug higher)
kroll (i love this man but this show is very hit or miss, at least the few first episodes were)
aukerman (quaint in a "fucking absurd" way but watchable imo and sometimes hilarious)
ross (relatively successful and consistently funny...although i wonder if ross will crack some day at the fact that literally every episode he has to take with a laughing face tons of awesome insults aboit how ugly he is)

That one had a decent premise, but it ran it into the ground in the first 30 seconds. "Girls get really attached, d00dz don't care!!!! hahahahaha!!!!"

I will say that Schumer is a better actress than I thought, and I think with some decent writing the sketches will get better. I'm assuming the premier was pretty much the pilot they shot for CC, so that might explain why it seemed so broad (with a broad! lolz!) whereas Schumer's standup is definitely smarter than that.

See, I think the guy should've been more relateable to make her extreme attachment resonate more. Like instead of doing typical d00dz things, he should've been going about a normal day (grocery shopping, maybe doing taxes, etc...) instead of playing video games. They both came off as caricatures and that leaves the viewer unsure of who we're laughing at. So I chose to laugh at neither of them. Oh, and are we really supposed to believe that a guy talking to his friend won't tell him about the hot chick (yes, Schumer is hot, despite 90% of her material saying otherwise) he nailed last night? I get that the point was to show that he didn't care about her, but if they were gonna go that route, they shoulda went all out and gotten a really handsome dude (you know Jon Hamm would've been down) to play the guy instead of the offspring of a Bill Burr/Steve Agee threesome with Maria Bamford.

Oh, and I'm completely aware I've put way too much though into this, but that's what happens when you spend time writing sketches that nobody will ever see. Again though, Schumer sold it really well and I think the show has a shot if they can find their voice/point of view.

Eh..maybe? I've never been one who would fuck a girl just cause she's there. She has the looks of someone who would have to just sorta be there. I'd say I've done worse but not much worse. In fact, that's a close call.

haven't watched the show yet, i feel like even a solid comedian like jeselnik can't hold down a whole show. his monologue is good but the segments + guests is extremely hit or miss.
