Macgruber and it's not even remotely close.

Also, I will never "get" the blues brothers. Maybe it's cause I didn't see it when it came out or I missed the window of when it would have resonated but that shit has always been wildly unfunny to me on every level. Can anyone explain the selling points to me? This has been confusing me for decades now.

I love Blues Brothers but it's never been a gut-busting-non-stop-LOL thing to me either. There are some really really funny parts but I think I enjoy the characters and the world of the movie more than anything else. It's like a comic musical fantasy or something, hard to pin down exactly.

Love Blues Brothers and MacGruber but I'm going to (probably) be the sole Waynes World 2 vote. One of the few sequels that is as good or better than the original.

plus best cameo ever ever

To me, The Blues Brothers is the perfect movie. It's got comedy, action, a great soundtrack, etc... I can't think of another movie where I had more fun watching it.

For me, historical-musicological interest. Seeing Ray, Aretha, James, John Lee Hooker, Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn in the same movie is a gas to us geeks. A couple of good gags but yeah, generally not ha ha funny

Tommy Bunz apparently has a thing for naked Indians constantly on screen for no reason.

Yeah Blues Brothers isnt exactly a back to back laughfest but its a perfect film I think, only the good the bad & the ugly and like The Burbs and a small handful of others are that unfuckwithable

Maybe I just hate musicals? I dunno...Watching the blues brothers always made me uncomfortable in a "douche chills" kinda way. I was embarrassed for everyone involved. kinda like watching one of those king of the dot battles.

Is Stuart Saves His Family a hidden gem? It's the one of these I haven't seen and, in the past 2-3 years I've heard more from people saying they watched it on a lark and enjoyed it. Is it becoming a cult classic?

You may already have too high expectations for Stuart. It's sweet and cool for what it is but I personally wouldn't go so far as to say it was a hidden gem.
