So, what the fuck is the plan for MITB? Are they really just gonna put it back on Cena?

Hey man, to each their own. She is one of the few divas w/ ass that the WWE can't find a way to hide w/ her ring attire. Eva Marie and and Emma are both very hot, sure. But Summer? Eh, too skinny for my liking. AJ is "cute" but not like OMG I wanna fuck hot. Paige and her pasty skin tone? Ew. and both Bellas (even Nikki) are overrated, IMO.907 wrote:Ramen wrote:its just you.zappy wrote:also is it just me or is natty still the hottest diva?

Vince has always been about silicon tits. Which I realize is the common thing for divas now...but just isn't my main thing, really. Natalya's face isn't jacked, and I admit it's not great. But she's pretty fucking sexy if you ask me.
I know nobody here ever watches Lucha except me and maybe Brougham or battlecat casually but my main girl in pro wrestling is "La Wera Loca" Taya Valkyrie. Canadian girl trained by Lance Storm who wrestles in Mexico for AAA. Speaks Spanish pretty well, too!
God damnit, I love this fucking woman. ^^
And also c'mon guys. Let's be real. Lana is the hottest female in wrestling today by far. BY FAR.
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
That would be a smart bet being that it's in Boston but Cena as the babyface champ basically anywhere else would be a nightmare for the WWE. I say no way that happens.907 wrote:So, what the fuck is the plan for MITB? Are they really just gonna put it back on Cena?
Either gonna be Bray or Orton and I'm leaning towards Bray. This Follow The Buzzards thing is really going over and him winning would push it over the top. If I was booker I'd say let Bray Wyatt win at MITB and then do some crazy stuff leading to him losing to Brock Lesnar at Battlefield or whatever the July PPV is. Then push D Bry vs. Brock for Summerslam. That would make me a happy man.
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
Word is that Daniel Bryan is to be the incumbent champion going into Summerslam.
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
if aj really is preggo's theres no chance of either her or punk returning for atleast a year or two. that would make me sad.

OK, joke was too easy. Seriously though.
I can see Cena winning the belt and then losing it to Lesnar who will then lose it to Bryan.
I can also see Wyatt winning it and then Bryan taking it off of him.
My main concern right now is that Bryan heals well though. Returning too early could affect him forever and cut him short like Austin's '97 injury did.

Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
Yeah allegedly the plan was for a heel (Wyatt) to win at MITB, only to lose to DB at Battleground who would then defend the belt against Brock at SS. But DB's recovery is so shaky, this is all still up in the air. A Wyatt victory would be fun (especially if they win the tag belts too), but I'm almost hoping don't go that way because Wyatt deserves to win the belt in a more significant story than just playing a placeholder until DB comes back and then gets in his feud with Brock.
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
I'm worried about this too, if he's not %100 the last person he needs to be working with any time soon is Brock Lesnar.battlecatmeowstab212 wrote:OK, joke was too easy. Seriously though.

Wyatt is too tweenie at this point for any of that to work. they'd have to use a clear heel like orton. honestly they oughta put it on Trips

Gonna check out ROH's first PPV today cause I got nothing better to do. Never Seen Ring of Honor before. If any of you indy guys stumble upon this thread in the next few hours before the first bell rings and could bring me up to speed on the angles real quick, that'd be appreciated.

ROH anticipated such a perspective and put together this complete rundown:Smithee wrote:Sad, but kinda true.mike eagle wrote:honestly they oughta put it on Trips

Not sure when I'll get a chance to catch it, but Bad Influence -reDRagon should be the match of the night, and the audience pop for Elgin winning the title from Adam Cole (if it happens) might be one of those all time great wrestling moments. Elgin's never held the belt before and fans have been clamoring for it since 2012. Cole is a great heel, and Elgin beating him should make things explode.
Also, Kevin Steen (the best on the indies right now by far by far by far) vs. "The Last Real Man" Silas Young (one of those perfect characters for the right guy gimmicks) should be great too as it's probably going to be Steen's sendoff before leaving to sign with WWE.

You're the man as always, battlecat. Ty.
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
I've been outta the indy loop for a while, so it's crazy to me that Silas Young is now a major player in Ring of Honor. I still remember him filling out the midcard of 2005ish IWA Mid-South shows. He was one of those guys that was solid, but seemed completely disposable. All that really stood out was the Pee Gee Waja Plunge. Awesome for him that the work has paid off.
Speaking of mid-'00s indy guys, Josh Prohibition cut an awesome promo for Absolute Intense Wrestling. Usually 2-3 minutes is my limit, but this one is worth watching...

Oh dude, it's like night and day. The "Last Real Man" gimmick is just absolutely perfect for him. I was watching some 2009 ROH stuff recently, and even then you can't even tell it's the same dude.BigCat8 wrote:I've been outta the indy loop for a while, so it's crazy to me that Silas Young is now a major player in Ring of Honor. Will watch the Josh Prohibition video in a bit. I remember him being with MDogg20 in JCW and being in a match with one of the most memorable hilarious botches ever seen. (he didn't get hurt, so we can laugh. Scary though)

If anyone's looking for a Best of Dead Ambrose Best of Cesaro or Best of any of our favorite WWE guys back when they were in the indies, I'd like to draw your attention to Smart Mark Video who are doing a special site-wide charity sale event today where the proceeds they make will be benefitting Hillside SPCA, a no-kill animal shelter.
They also have the complete catalog of Chikara, CZW and absolutely every indie promotion not named ROH.
I really recommend the Dean Ambrose / Jon Moxley shoot that's over three hours long and contains his best indie matches - http://www.smartmarkvideo.com/jon-moxle ... story.html
Their Kevin Steen "best on the indies" comp with an incredible shoot is also a favorite - http://www.smartmarkvideo.com/best-on-t ... story.html
And for those of you curious about CHIKARA, this event, their first PPV where they crowned their first champion in 2011, is the best place to start - http://www.smartmarkvideo.com/chikara/c ... ia-pa.html
For those wanting to take a dive into the indies, the site's worth taking a look around.

Speaking of complete transformations, Ricochet had this match with Kota Ibushi. We've come a long way from the days of "Black Irish"/"Rick O'Shea".
Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
I copped ROH comps for Danielson, Rollins, Cesaro, and Steen recently, great shit. That Ambrose 3 hour joint is next on my list for sure. I'd also like a Generico/Zayn joint, but there's a few out there and I'm not sure which one to get. Chaz, any suggestions? I actually own four different Generico comps.907 wrote:I copped ROH comps for Danielson, Rollins, Cesaro, and Steen recently, great shit. That Ambrose 3 hour joint is next on my list for sure. The one you should get is the "Many Adventures of El Generico" that PWG put out. That's going to give you the incredible matches you want and shows all that Generico's capable of. Also, if you've never seen PWG, this is an excellent entry point. Best commentary in wrestling right now
The ROH comp is cool, but the best of Generico in this era is already on the first Steen cop (ascending to the top) which follows their tag career, and the second Steen comp (Descent into Madness) which covers the entire year-long Steen&Corino vs. Generico & Cabana feud. Both are worth owning. However, the ROH one is probably going to sell out soon and the rumor is that they aren't going to be repressing this generation of compilations so you might want to cop it sooner to be safe.
Also worthwhile is Generico's own self-distributed OLE bootleg that's out of print since he got signed. It's his best ROH matches that aren't on the comps (with one or two exceptions of overlap, but it's understandable for the amazing batch with Bryan Danielson and the tables match against the American Wolves) with some PWG and actual Mexican matches sprinkled in.
I also have a comp of just Generico in Japan which is, again, cool, but entirely in Japanese.

Re: CM Punk & Wrestling's Best Storyline in Years...
Word is Barrett hurt his shoulder at the Smackdown tapings, pretty bad luck as he was on a real good run, his match with Ziggler on Raw was amazing.
Bo Dallas is getting over, that butterfinger line was great, but I'm not sure I like the idea of him facing heels. I guess without the context of his NXT career, him working as a face makes sense, but it just feels strange.
Stardust is the best.
Pretty excited for MITB because I have no idea which direction they're going in. It seems like either Rollins/Ambrose would take the briefcase, but they don't really need it. And I really hope they don't put the belt on Kane and just restart the Bryan feud once he returns.

Are you talking about Backlash 2003 or Extreme Rules 2012, because the latter was incredible and an example of the WWE having a true big fight feel for the main event match of a top five pay-per-view this decade.Pizon wrote:Wait... we already saw that match and it wasn't that good. :/

Only Cena matches I found watchable in the past 10 years were against HBK, Rob Van Dam, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
