Watched the first 2 episodes of Intruders today. It's a BBC America show. The first episode was confusing, but the second started to clear things up a bit. It doesn't have the instant wow factor that Orphan Black had for me, but I'm willing to ride it out.

Finished all 3 seasons of Friday Night Dinner this week. I really enjoyed it and hope a 4th season will be made. Decided to start another British series, this one called Chickens. Created by and starring Simon Bird, who was on FND and Joe Thomas, who worked with Simon on The Inbetweeners, probably one of the funniest shows I've seen. At this point, anything Simon Bird is involved in, I'm willing to see it.

Chickens had a pilot episode air in 2011, but didn't get a full season until 2 years later. It's a comedy about 3 young guys during World War 1, who don't go off to war. They're looked at as cowards amongst people in their village, and with most of the male population gone, they still can't score with women.
Only watched the pilot so far, but liked it enough to want to watch the rest. Only 7 episodes and doesn't look like it got renewed.

gave "you're the worst" a chance and gave up on it. honestly don't think either will make it past a 2nd season though.
I dig both of them based solely on the mentions in this thread. "You're the Worst" is definitely the funnier show, but "Married" has the stronger cast with Judy Grier, Brett Gelman and Jenny Slate. If anything FX's lack of promotion for either shows will be both their deaths.

Agreed on all fronts. The cast carries the show on Married, the writing does the same on You're The Worst. I never thought I'd find Paul Riser as enjoyable as he's been as Jenny Slate's husband.

Haven't watched this season of Big Brother but I may be in the minority when I say that I thoroughly enjoyed the trainwreck that was last year's season.

Love this show but it should have ended years ago. Everything is just a rehash of old plots.

Finished Chickens and The Honourable Woman.

Chickens wasn't as great as I had hoped. It had its moments, but ultimately, the plot wears off pretty quickly. I'll continue watching if it gets renewed, but I won't be missing it if it doesn't.

The Honourable Woman ended up being really good. Some really solid performances in this. It's a real slow burn, but definitely worth sticking through. I'm not sure if it's eligible for the Emmy's since it's a British series, but I have a feeling it'll definitely be up for some awards at the Golden Globes.

Thinking my next show to watch will be Moone Boy. Seems like a funny show since Chris O'Dowd is in it.

though the songs chosen for the soundtrack really take me out of it quite often.

by this point pretty much all that i could contribute to this topic has already been mentioned. still, DVR past present and future:

bob's burgers
adventure time
regular show
the soup
seth meyers
conan
drunk history
wil wheaton project
broad city

the first episode of manhattan got recorded but we haven't gotten around to watching it yet. seems like an interesting premise. worth recording more episodes?

food network and cooking channel are on a lot after midnight. diners drive-ins and dives, eat the street, and iron chef america mostly end up being watched in the background with limited interest.

Just finished the first season of this. really enjoyed it but it seems like they used the entire white stripes discography in its soundtrack
