That shit was so stiff. Reigns laughing was great. Blood is always good. That shit was a beautiful coincidence.

9/10? It was a lot better than I expected, but the endings to the HHH/Sting and Cena/Rusev matches were pretty weak and Wyatt/Taker was terrible, especially since it was the only match with any decent build. Great ending though, I had hoped that was what would happen but really had no expectation that it would

Love HHH winning. Obviously Cena had to win. No beef at all. Undertaker is 50. All better than expected and "historically necessary".

Obvious highlights:
Ambrose's bump
Rusev in a tank
NWO vs. DX and WWE finally burying WCW
Best RKO ever
Cena's second rope stunner wtf
"Suplex City Bitch"
Dope ass cash-in

I stand by my 9/10.

Undeniably great show considering the corner we all thought they booked themselves into.

The build for the IC Ladder match was stellar, c'mon now.

In honor of our new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, here's Seth Rollins moonsalting off of an overweight fan, which until tonight was his career highlight:

really enjoyed sting/hhh but that shit was bizarre. thats a weird group of guys to come out and ride for sting.

something about the way they book cena just takes me completely out of a show sometimes. its so ridiculously out of step with the times. they're still trying to make him hogan when even hogan stopped being hogan in 96

that RKO was special but i thought orton slumbered through the rest of the match

i was pleased overall tho. what the fuck do they do with a part time lesnar if he isnt champ tho?

It was very good, if a little drawn out. I missed the match itself (was it on the pre show?) so it slipped my mind.

Best theory I read is that, since Sting's spent his entire career having his friends turn on him, in his moment of need his most hated enemies came to his aid in the same way that a negative number times a negative number results in a positive number.

That or we had full-on dream WWF vs. WCW and the enemy of my enemy is my brother, brother.

Agree about the nWo. How much better would it have been if it was, say, DDP and Vader who came out to back up Sting?

And yeah, the only times I can remember being surprised by how Cena is booked are the Nexus attack where he was just decimated and Summerslam against Brock.

From here, I think the looming threat of a pissed off, vengeance seeking Lesnar possibly showing up at any time will be enough to keep things interesting between Rollins, Reigns and whoever else gets into the title picture. The next time Lesnar shows up should be on par with when he first returned and killed Cena, or when he hit the F5 on Vince. Sheer brutality.

One more kinda touching note. Ten years ago at this time Seth Rollins (then known as Tyler Black) was having his first notable program on the indie scene with a wrestler named Marek Brave (who he tagged with as The Black and The Brave a year prior) in IWA-Midsouth. It's usually the first matches you'll see on any of the early "Best of Tyler Black" compilations.

Rollins apparently invited Brave to be backstage with him for Mania. Brave had some really cool tweets about it - https://twitter.com/MBrave13/with_replies" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Really good wrestlemania. The ending was absolutely perfect. My only complaint is daylight wrestling, shit sucks.

I think Vince kind of threw logic out of the window to just give the fans dx vs nwo. If you are a huge fan of that era of wrestling like I am I dont see how you couldnt have enjoyed that. Of course, it also gave Vince a chance to bury wcw one last time...

I think it was just the Monday Night Wars playing out. WWE vs WCW. Sting and the NWO were enemies, but they united the same way feuding brothers would against another family.

True, but if you wanted to get really technical the nwo was an anti establishment to wcw, so it doesnt really make sense they would ride for wcw last night. However, this is wrestling so of course you have to suspend logic sometimes and enjoy it

Triple H has been recently throwing out comments for a while about how DX was better than the nWo. The fact that nWo came out to confront DX could have stemmed from that and not to much specifically to save Sting.

Yea they helped Sting up after the match tho. I thought when nwo came into the ring after Sting lost they would attack Sting and maybe even spray paint him . That kind of would have made more sense...

Hot crowd. Creative, sensical booking. Clean finishes. Suprise debuts. Lengthy championship matches. Properly gained heat.

It was like a good Raw. Honestly can't remember a better Raw in the PG Era.

The 2nd lesnar segment was incredible. However, I thought the end of the show was terrible. There is just no excuse for Kane and big show to be in a main event ever again.

I like Kane and Big Show though. I like Kane as the devil's favorite middle-management type and Big Show's "c'mon, give me a mulligan" arguing with the fans veteran. It's a twist on what would normally be the heel's muscle thing, it's just together I don't need to see them in tag action.

I don't dislike their characters either, but I don't want to see them in raw main events, especially not a meaningless thrown together 6 man tag match closing out what is supposed to be the best raw of the year.

Current shortage on heels. Main event was weak and should have been the IC title match.
