well yeah, im still going to watch season 2..

i mean if we base all of our movie-watching and song-listening off of how douchey the creators are, we would be watching nothing.

it's not the fact that he's a douche personally, that was already covered prior, it's more that Fukunaga's direction made the show more than the douche's writing despite the latter getting all the credit

well that (him getting all the credit and not acknowledging other people's hard work) comes with the douchiness though.

Getting a Michael Mann-ish vibe from that trailer. Can't wait.

Didn't watch the teaser till now, Riggins cut his hair!
I'm optimistic about this, Farrell has always been a great actor who chooses terrible material, and Vince Vaughn was pretty solid in serious roles before he became Vince Vaughn.

He's been slightly above average at best, he hasn't done anything that's made me really impressed with his talent. Agree that he chooses some awful material though.

You need to see In Bruges (and Phone Booth)

This looks great - everyone in this show is so greasy

Seen all those movies. He was fine in "In Bruges" and "Seven Psychopaths", but he was overshadowed in those movies by other actors. Don't remember "Tigerland", been too long.

He's just average to me. A wannabe leading man that had the looks but not the talent to take it to an elite level. Have to admit I'm surprised at the love he's getting here.

(Update #1: According to the Arden Concert Gild, the song is an unreleased track by country singer Lera Lynn.)

(Update #2: In a comment on the official YouTube page for the True Detective Season 2 trailer, HBO stated that the Lynn song was created for the show: ”The song was created for True Detective.” Consider this mystery solved.)

Saw this^, though it's the first time I'm hearing about it I'm kind of disappointed that this season will not be exploring the secret occult history of the American transportation system (http://www.reddit.com/r/TrueDetective/c ... ry_of_the/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; !!!), because that sounds fucking awesome. Nevertheless, I really couldn't be any more pumped for Season 2

Meh, the brilliance of the 1st season was mostly due to the director, will prob marathon this season when its done unless the hype becomes unbearable.
