It wishes. There are literally zero similarities.

It's a mix of The Prisoner/Twin Peaks.
I like it so far.

Well the author of the book has said he tried to make the atmosphere of the town similar to Twin Peaks.

they also went out of their way to make the promo material reminiscet of TP, although 'they' in this case might not actually be the creators of the show but whoever is marketing itTweak Da Leak wrote:Well the author of the book has said he tried to make the atmosphere of the town similar to Twin Peaks.

Re: Wayward Pines...
I dunno, the book got pretty good reviews and people said they liked the twist and it was unexpected, this doesn't seem like either.

In the book the payoff was a lot better. He basically escapes and sees the abberations fights them off while surving the wilderness for a while. Then finds the control room and the truth and then becomes the sheriff. Didn't read the last two books.

Well damn it, even though M Night wasn't a huge contributor in this show I'm actually hoping for a Shamalamadingdong double twist at the end now.

Lol hopefully to come up with something better than a 2000 year time jump and and a human race that devolved into shark-wolf woodsmen.

Re: Wayward Pines...
6th episode was either broadcasted somewhere or it just plain leaked ' you can find it online. I thought that twist was OK by ´Shiamalan hasn´t done anything remotely good in 10 years´ standards
Re: Wayward Pines...
Yeah I downloaded it last night. Can't find any info on how it aired tho
Re: Wayward Pines...
random thing I thought of while watching episode 6. How fucking good would 2000 year old scotch, bourbon, wine etc taste?
Re: Wayward Pines...
This show was billed as a miniseries, but apparently FOX liked it enough to give it a second season. Just announced today.
Re: Wayward Pines...
There's a way they could make it work. I'm in.

Re: Wayward Pines...
LOL unless it's a flashback to the first group, or it shows who the fuck this first class was since they became the primary antagonist at the end even though we knew two shits about these clowns.
