^yeah that was cool. Callisto needs to develop some personality and or character to make it appealing though, maybe this means Del Rio can make a title run or something, right now they're in serious lack of heels (and faces). Balor (bullet) club coming over right now is exactly what they need, for the first time in a while I'm legit excited about what Raw could bring. Vince isn't what he used to be but he still kinda brings it, but it's almost wasted on the cringeness and non-believability of Reigns. Hopefully 2016 brings a complete makeover with the likes of Zain, Balor, KO, Styles, etc. becoming main attractions. Mix them in with Rollins, Lesnar and Ambrose and even Orton and WWE is actually getting kinda intriguing again.
Ayo voice, it feels like battling season...

Alright, time for our annual start-of-the-year check-in.

Which promotions are you currently watching/following?

I watch Raw and NXT every week. I record Smackdown, but usually read the results beforehand and only watch the segments that interest me, not usually more than a half hour worth.

I watched ROH when I had it on my cable package, but haven't seen it since.

I keep up with what's happening in NJPW online, but only watch a few matches on youtube to keep current. I do watch their Axess show every week, but it's never the most recent matches.

I didn't watch LU as it aired, but have since caught up on the entire first season, and am looking forward to season two.

I still watch old WCW stuff on the network, but I've seen all the Nitros they have up already and am waiting for them to add more. Been watching the PPVs from 2000-2001 recently, there was some good stuff going on towards the end that people never mention. Above Average Mike Sanders is one of the most slept on wrestlers ever, IMO. Dude had more charisma than anyone this side of The Rock, and could have been a star. Jidrack and O'Haire were the shit too, and the Cruiserweight tag titles were a great idea that should have had more time to shine.

I watch the occasional PPV, NXT episode, NJPW match, or Raw recap here and there. I still keep up with the goings-on, but I can't recall the last time I sat down to actually watch a full episode of anything.

I watch every WWE PPV or special live for the most part. Don't really watch Raw live anymore, if something worthwhile happens I'll catch it on youtube or hulu. Although I'm sad I missed being able to mark out live at Luke Harper going ham on raw Monday. Religiously watch and check for anything NJPW. Peep ROH and LU, but not having the channel they're on hurts, but I try to catch up online.

With Cena posting a picture of AJ Styles on instagram, and Daniel Bryan maybe getting cleared, and Triple H likely showing up, I'm pretty amped for the Rumble, so many possibilities.

Styles-Sheamus would be a great super-stiff Japanese style match.

The fear is better suited for Styles-Big Show or Styles-Del Rio or Styles-Swagger.

ANOTHER POTENTIAL SIGNING...

Apparently, lost in the Bullet Club hub-bub is the fact that
AUSTIN ARIES
Is currently undergoing WWE medical testing. Could be huge for them, he's one of the very best in the world in every facet of sports entertainment evaluation.

i just thought a good rumble gimmick would be to have that out of shape cajun guy from breaking ground to run to the ring full speed, roll in, and just lie there completely gassed and unable to stand up, then somebody just casually picks him up and throws him out.
then they could fire him.

So, who do you guys actually have in the rumble tomorrow?

I hate to say it, but I think it's going to be either HHH or Reigns.

I think overwhelming odds are on Triple H or Reigns.

Lesnar is the dark horse and AJ Styles is the even darker horse.

In the case of Styles, this may be the last time for at least a decade that someone would have a chance to come in and win the WWE World Title on their first night in the company. Cool as that fact may be, historically speaking winning any title on one's first night has been more of an albatross and hindered talent more than helped (Jerry Lynn, Carlito, Gail Kim, Paige, it's telling the most successful of these has been MNM, but likely only because of where Smackdown's borderline nonexistent tag division was at the time).

A Triple H victory gives him a 14th world title reign, and longterm him dropping it and winning it again would give him 15 reigns, tying Cena and one behind Ric Flair's 16-time"record" (when you factor in WCW's original big gold belt was their "international world heavyweight title" from the NWA lineage outside the original WCW title, that number becomes 18, when you factor in matches where Flair would lose the title in NWA/WCW only for the title to be vacated with the change not recognized and Flair winning the rematch, that number becomes 20 or 21, when you factor in matches Flair took in overseas markets like Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic where he'd drop the belt to a local hero and win it back 3 nights later which the NWA never sanctioned or recognize, that number becomes 26). Could Mania 33 be Cena vs. Triple H?

I'm betting Reigns looks strong, and perhaps schenanigans like Triple H enters at 31 or something to screw him out of the title.

Latest word though is that Daniel Bryan got finally medially cleared by a third party doctor, so he could be making an appearance either at the Rumble or on Raw.

Only way Bryan should come out for the rumble is if he's gonna win, why have the crowd boo the winner hardcore 3 years in a row lol unless that's the new rumble theme, winner becomes instant heel

I mean who's second?

Funnily enough it might've been Sandow during that run

Brock probably.

Agree on it being Brock.

Shit rumble, but at least we got Styles, and a possible Styles/Owens/Zayn/Ambrose 4-way at Mania.

even given the shitty premise, and guessing the winner, there was no reason the match had to be that shitty.
the "no dq" and "come and go as you please as long as you didn't go over the top rope" aspects are really stretching any drama out of it.
