I've actually never read Bret's book. How is it? It looks longer than the Bible.

he's surprisingly honest in it. Not that I didn't think he would be, but it's just the way of autobiographies...

talks about cheating on his wife, refusing to put certain guys over, admitting to being up his own ass etc

Bryan was cleared to return, so his "retirement" angle has to be a work, no? Who interrupts his speech tonight to set up a Mania bout?

He's under contract for like 3 more years so I don't think he can "retire" and then hop over to ROH or anything (plus I doubt he would do anything to fuck with his wife's status). I really hope he ends up back full time and in the title picture.

I'm sorry to see him go, but if it means a better quality of life as he gets older, I'm glad to see him walk away while he can still walk.

What a great exit. Touching, funny, classy. The second he came out with the beard/haircut, I knew it for absolute sure wasn't a work.

Glad wigsforkids.org got a shout too. They're who I donated my hair to as well.

Are any of you Wrestling Observer subscribers? I really want to read Meltzer's piece on Daniel Bryan, which is apparently being lauded as his finest work.

Who specifically seemed more over in person that it came across on TV, and vice versa? I'm always interested in stuff like that.

I'm watching Nitros from 98 on the network, it's insane how many classics take place while the announcers barely pay attention, and blather on about Hogan and the NWO. Last week it was Malenko vs Benoit tonight it's those two against Guerrero and Jericho.

Speaking of WCW, I'm on a shoot interview kick. Really enjoy hearing Bischoff's take on working with performers as individuals:

Have you seen the Kenny King / Rhett Titus "A Full Case of Tales with the All Night Express" shoot? It's a classic from 2012, really captures the different eras of ROH, and their issues with what Cornette's 2011/2012 ROH product was.
