he was supposed to be 'bout it in the books, but the books kinda wasted him too (he's not dead in the books tho, not yet at least)

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
you're right. it was where khaleesi ate the horse heart and khal drogo made her brother his crown. not a super memorable setting, just a bunch of huge tents close together. but there was that statue of two horses fighting at the city gates.Yohan wrote:We have, first season.djjeffresh wrote:i cant remember have we seen the city of vaes dothrak previously?

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
wait a minute.
are they in vaes dothrak right now? there was that shot of the horses above the gates. (or im out of it)
it seemed weird that they were saying that daenarys has to go hang out with the crones in vaes dothrak if theyre already there,
and they shouldnt have weapons on them if they are.
that was confusing.

I think she will make it to the city though, I think there's something specific there that needs to happen plot-wise. The 'masked woman' from Quarth definitely mentions something about it in the books, not sure if it made it into the show but it should be easy enough to cover for that.

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
I've watched this twice now.
Its really starting to bother me that the show is just conveniently ignoring the fact that Daenerys supposedly has this massive army.
Where the fuck are all the unsullied?
Its one thing that it was beyond stupid that she went to the the coliseum fights without her army positioned in force throughout the entire arena.
But now that she's gone and the masters have proven that they can't be trusted, why are the streets completely empty? Why isn't the first thing that her council do in her absence is to order the unsullied to kill all the masters? How are the ports completely unguarded?
Shit is fucking stupid. She's supposed to have an army of thousands.

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
Didn't even get to thinking about the army bc I couldn't get past the KILL THE MASTERS graffiti being in english (so westerosi or whatever), in a scene which makes a specific point to highlight the native Valerian.....
while we're on dumb shit, why was John Snow's body just left out in the cold in a place that specifically exists because of what happens to dead bodies in the cold... especially since Thorne takes responsibility immediately and it's implied most of the Night's Watch is with him

Didn't even think of that. Maybe they ambushed Jon Snow late in the evening/early in the morning and he wouldn't have turned until the next evening? Could be that the timeline just wasn't explained very well and Davos is actually finding him dead just a couple hours afterwards.
The only reason the corpses reanimated so fast at the battle in the north is because the white walkers were there to raise them?

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
You can also take this one step further and wonder what Davos & Co. have in mind for keeping a dead body around for an indefinite number of days while they're locked in a room waiting for Ed to come back. I think the answer to all of these is just 'the writers were in a rush to make a plot point and didn't really think the details through and shit turned out dumb'. The writing around the re-animations has been similar to Superman's strength and Godzilla's size, it's relative to the needs of the narrative. In all fairness to the show I don't remember RailRoad laying down any specific rules on this either.

Yeah. Could also be that you actually have to physically die north of the wall to turn. Since Castle Black is actually positioned on the south side Snow was safe from turning.
The dude that turned into a zombie at Castle Black before died north of the wall and they brought him back with them, right?

pretty much. it's almost like original writing is much, much harder than adapted writingTommy Bunz wrote:I've watched this twice now.

I just assumed they left Jon for his homies to find him.
Also IIRC Thorne doesn't believe in all that white walker shit.

Nah he's a ranger, he knows the score. I think he was also the one sent to King's Landing with a zombie hand in a jar to ask for more NW recruits. He just hates Wildlings and Jon SnowRamen wrote:I just assumed they left Jon for his homies to find him.

Re: Game Of Thrones S6
I did too but the speed with which they resolved the Jon Snow resurrection makes me optimistic they won't drag it out for too long. Feels like at this point they're resolved to lurch from one big death/plot point to the next without bothering to shade in too much detail, which is fine. At this point I just want to get to the endgame. Hopefully next week gets the r+l=j out of the way for good with the Tower Of Joy flashbackwheels wrote:
