Watching TLC, and it's still weird adjusting to moving to the central time zone seeing the main event at 9:00 pm.

So surreal seeing AJ Styles walking to the ring as defending WWE World Champion, when a year ago at this time he was unsuccessfully challenging Jay Lethal for the ROH title.

I just moved and my new cable provider doesn't have the Pop network, so I had my Mom DVR it and plan to watch it over Christmas.

I am hype and have been doing everything I can to avoid spoilers, only a few more days.

But yeah, completely plugged out of wrasslin news sites to avoid anything being ruined.

Also, I'm actually going to Wrestle Kingdom in Tokyo this year. Pumped for Naito-Tanahashi, Omega-Okada and seeing whatever absurd entrance they give Cody Rhodes.

Any suggestions for Tokyo while I'm out there?

Goddamn, congrats dude, should be amazing. Not sure how much time you have in Japan, but if it's more than 3 days, I'd suggest getting the Japanese Rail pass and hitting some other cities as well. What neighborhood are you staying in?

As far as Tokyo:

Tourist stuff: Tsukiji Fish Market (go early, eat there as well), Yoyogi Park or the national garden, Meiji Shrine, that Robot restaurant

Food stuff: If you feel like dropping mad money for the best meal you've ever had, any of the 3 star Michelin rated sushi spots is worth it, usually a hotel can make a reservation for you. Otherwise great ramen everywhere, try to find some conveyor belt sushi, soba noodle spots, all the yakitori and tempura spots were worth it as well. Try to find Chankonabe, which is the stew Sumo wrestlers eat.

Nightlife stuff: Golden Gai district is amazing, rows and rows of tiny bars, similarly Piss alley which is rows and rows of tiny street food spots, also hit up Shibuya just for the visuals, Roppongi (Kill Bill inspired place there), and I know you got BARZ for karaoke which is everywhere.

Have fun dude.

You guys have no idea...

I just got back last night, but just as a teaser, not only did I go to Wrestle Kingdom 11, but I got to see shows from All Japan, DDT and Ice Ribbon.

I'll put together a full report, but basically I saw four of the world's best wrestling promotions put together the absolute best four shows they possibly could, culminating in the greatest match I've ever seen live and perhaps the finest match ever wrestlers.

There was many a too-sweeting of strangers.

I think it definitely means that. While I'd prefer KO to hold onto it, Jericho costing Owens the title somehow and Owens heel turn on Jericho makes sense. Only thing that doesn't make sense is how Finn Balor fits into Mania. He literally beat Roman and Seth clean before getting hurt, so I can't imagine they'll have him in a throwaway match.

Unless Vince hurled a ton of money his way, I doubt Omega wants to go WWE right now. NJPW basically has it set up for Omega to take the strap off Okada at some point, and with them expending this year in to US markets, I don't see how NJPW doesn't want Omega to headline the dome next year as well.

Does Vince seriously think Bruan is worthy of a Mania match with Taker? For me, Taker vs Cena has to happen this year. And if he can make it, Lesnar vs Undertaker at the Superdome rematch at Mania 34 would be a fitting end to his career.

Braun vs. Taker has Giant Gonzalez at WM9 written all over it. It has to be Cena vs. Taker. Does that mean Cena beats Styles and Taker wins the Rumble?

Just now finally watched Omega/Okada, Jesus fuck. Chaz, I'm going to be jealous that you saw that live for the rest of my life. JR's commentary on AXS is great too, he should really be working the big 4 WWE events every year, if not more. Still the best in the game by a mile.

I personally have never felt the way I did watching that match, probably ever. Like, I'd say (and have said) I felt 10 again, which I did, but man even knowing what we understand as adults as the mechanics of wrasslin', it was just such an incredible match.

Do you know what the AXS schedule is for the next few weeks. Omega-Okada being a 6 star match is kind of (understandably) overshadowing Naito-Tanahashi which was a five star match and any-other-year would be match of the year, so be sure to catch that.

KUSHIDA-Takahashi, Bucks-RPG Vice and Goto-Shibata are the other must-sees from that show.

I don't know what they're showing when, Omega/Okada is the first match they've shown from WK11 so far. I've got a series recording set up though, so I'll see any of them that they show.

I really hope he gets a short run pre retirement, or at least one last match.

I'm actually letdown about the angle HOF announcement. I was hoping for one last full schedule WWE run out of angle, but the HOF announcement effectively kills any chances of that.
