Holy fuck. Autocopped. I've been waiting for OTWF to get a blu ray release. So glad Criterion are doing it.

oooo criterion just added Eraserhead to their hulu channel and the way they worded it is definitely a tease towards a release :ohsh:
Existing dvd for it is out of print too so all signs point to yes

Good looks, Tommy. If anyone has some of the extra 10% of coupons that they sometimes have in conjunction with this would you post them?

There aren't that many active coupons at the moment but supposedly there will be some more soon. This one is supposed to be only with a new B&N membership but most of the time they let you use it anyways (i've never been denied).

This thread at dvdtalk is always updated with the most current coupons:

Thanks Tommy, I just checked that site. What is this "overlap" they're all referring to? Obviously it was some sort of double discount of some kind.

B&N had a Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale on criterions that ended yesterday, apparently there was a couple hours where people were able to do B2G1 free at 50% off. Pretty nuts.

Anyone pick anything up from the sale yet?

Just got Samurai Trilogy, Harold & Maude and upgraded my copy of 39 Steps to blu. Not sure if I'm going to get anything else this time around.
Surprised to see that the Samurai Trilogy is just a normal sized case with 3 movies on 2 discs.

Picked up Tokyo Drifter. Will be getting La Haine, Harold and Maude, and Fanny and Alexander. Waiting for members only coupons.

I'm waiting too. Trying to watch as many Criterions that I haven't seen as I can. Hopefully I can use a coupon as well, but that dvd talk site you posted says that they're cracking down hard on coupon use on the internet and in stores for this sale.

For what it's worth, I had no problems using the $8 off coupon on the Samurai Trilogy today. They barely even looked at it.

Another thing you can do is sign up for B&N Buzz, which is their text service, and they'll send you a code for $5 off any purchase of $15 or more

People need to take advantage of the BN Buzz program. There's no wording to limit you to using it multiple times, with the member discount you can get new blurays for $13.

I've been abusing the shit out of this. Picked up Cronos, Darjeeling Limited, Crumb & Belle De Jour and will be going back for more soon.

None of these work online, though. Do all BNs carry this shit? I haven't been to the one near me in ages, but it was only books last time I checked.

Are you combining coupons or making individual purchases?

I'm finally going to BN later this week to take advantage of this sale.

Some definitely don't have movie sections anymore, I would call ahead of time if I was you.

Just the regular 50% plus my 10% member discount and the BN Buzz code for $5 off for each one.

The buzz code is 503101 btw. I've been showing them the text in my phone (as literally not one of the B&N employees i've used it with have ever heard of the program) but you can probably just ask them to enter it and the discount will come up.
