might be for the best actually, the shapeshifting buys the MCU an infinite cache of dumbass plot twists and retcon reversals that would muddle the continuity and open the doors for all sorts of desperate moves. some shit like 'OH THE MCU IS LAGGING.... WELL GUESS WHAT? TONY WAS A SKRULL ALL ALONG BOOM BITCH HERE'S YOUR IRON MAN 5' would be inevitable
secret invasion movie would be stupid

^^ as a one off yea, it could be great. but as a perpetually present deus ex machina device that could reverse death or major plot points or ultimately alter the entire continuity of the MCU series it's a potential disaster

this talks about the early draft of the FF script, which actually sounds pretty dope (I haven't seen the movie itself so can't judge overall). Galactus is in this draft fwiw

Excuse my nerd here homie, but based off your take on Fantastic Four and the fact that you still think that ALL the marvel stuff is under the same umbrella, Imma go ahead and guess you won't care about Jessica Jones.

The MCU is doing 4 shows on Netflix. The are part of the greater MCU (Avengers et al) but they are "street level" heroes. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage & Iron Fist. The 4 series will culminate in a mini-series called The Defenders which is like the "street" version of the Avengers.

JJ's story in a nutshell: Had accident>got powers>was breifly a hero>came in contact with a villain that really fucked her shit up royally>retired due to PTSD/Self hatred>became Private Investigator

She and Luke Cage later get married and have a baby.

Alias is amazing and if the show is half as good as the comic then we're in for a treat. After Daredevil, I'm optimistic about these Netflix shows.

You forgot the part where Luke Cage ass fucks her.

Hope that makes into the show!

Pretty good, I like that the focus is all on her and Cage seems mostly auxiliary. He gets his own series anyway so it's cool they're letting a lesser known female character pull her own weight, esp since Ritter is a good actress and can do a lot with this role.

so the scene in ep1 when she flips over for Cage was The Scene right?

pretty cool show so far (3 eps in), I like the slowburn and emphasis on in the moment character development and letting her actually be a PI over rushing into random scenes of violence or tracing out her powers/backstory.

Yeah really digging that they're going light on the superhero stuff so far and focusing on character development too. Liking it just as much or more than daredevil so far.
