If we're doing all time, I'd add Bockwinkle, Cornette and The Crusher

Wouldn't you put Steiner more in the "so bad it's good" category, though?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Big Bad Booty Daddy on the mic, but I don't think he's "good" at it. I mean, dude can barely pronounce words correctly, let alone convey an emotion other than anger. Well, maybe frustration and confusion too, but that's about it.

I'd add Nash to the list as well. Dude has as much natural charisma as anyone who's ever done it. Him and Hall brought swagger to wrestling promos, IMO.

Lol Steiner would just simply leave words out of sentences. Hilarious.

Jericho was always one of the best of the era too.

Always liked Shane Douglas on the mic too.

Dave Schultz is a legend. He beat up John Stoesel back stage at 20/20 and got fired by Vince.

While the Hogan promos get the hype, he once accused Jerry Lawler of having AIDS while tagging with Randy Savage against Lawler and Bruiser Brody in a fucking awesome feud.

The redneck stuff was good, but the Dr D promos were insane.

He also told Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas they should be back down south picking cotton.

Youtube his shit with Piper in WWF. It's hilarious.

Speaking of Lawler, this promo is classic...

Well, Steiner's an interesting case of peaks and valleys. Speaking strictly solo stuff, from 1998-1999 he had some solo struggles, but from 2000-2001 (when he wasn't angry at WCW itself and letting his real emotion trip over his words) he was great. Then his 2002-2004 WWE work just couldn't get the right footing. But then in TNA right around 2005, he became either self-aware of how he was unaware, or unaware of his own self-awareness and played up the absurd babbling character. Then, after reuniting with Rick, he started doing straight-forward promos that were excellent whether he was a face or a heel until leaving in 2012 or so.

Steiner's the rare case of someone whose best work could arguably be found in TNA. We can laugh at mezmer-mized and sympy and "i've wrestled a lot of countries," as we should as they're hilarious, but he done a multitude of great stuff as well.

big poppa pump would point at the camera, hed have the shades on, he'd kiss the peaks, he fornicate the ring girl interviewing him, sometimes hed rock the chain mail armor, he had awesome ridiculous catchphrases that rhymed. he go off on incoherent tangents, hed mispronounce words and just keep on going like it was completely on purpose. who else in wrestling history could come out and just say words and sentences that are either gibberish, or completely missing/mispronouncing words, but he has the confidence and swagger to still go with it. at the end of the day you still got the gist of what he was trying to say. here's steiner at his best. this has a lil bit of everything:

Race Car Bed Sleeping Rapist Virgin wrote:Firstly this is very on point. It's easy to make snap judgements that since steiner fucks up at times during promos so he's "so bad, he's good", but nah, he genuinely cuts wildly entertaining promos, and his big poppa pump character is downright legendary. I do have to say though, you failed to mention his work when he was paired with Buff Bagwell in the NWO, and I feel that was his very best work of his career.

well, honestly i'm just hoping i dont have to watch on an ipad.

as the linux/android/chromecast minority, i dont really have many options. i would love to watch on my 93" projector, but chances are that's not going to work.

i dont have any friends in the real world who like wrestling, so i dont have any options that way, so i'll probably just be at home with a beer and my wife's ipad. : /

if anyone in the DC area has a roku or some shit that actually works with the network wants to watch on a projector, let me know. i have a network account, so all you need is hardware.

Chances are we'll get an upset at Mania. Which of the following is most likely to win:

Triple H
Bray Wyatt
Rusev
Brock Lesnar

Wyatt wins. Taker knows to go out on his back.
Sting will win.
I really hope Rusev wins and they use his first loss to build someone.
Brock is going back to UFC

Rusev's losing tonight to #AXELMANIA, dude. It's Axel's time, jack. He's going to do the red, white and blue proud, brother.

I have to teach a class the next day, otherwise we'd probably be able to get a few of the alumni down. Would be cool to see everyone.

I don't think Taker is losing. They need him to be strong for WM32 in Dallas and two losses in a row (especially to a midcarder this year) wouldn't achieve that.

I understand the working plan right now is for Taker-Sting at WM32, but who knows if that will play out. They're saying 32 is an "all hands on deck" show with 100,000 seats to fill, so it'd make sense for Taker to have a match.

I'm loving David Otunga and Corey Graves as the Raw pre-show hosts. Look forward to them more than Raw these days.

Is anyone really interested in a Wrestlemania where Daniel Bryan is fighting for the Intercontinental Title? What is this, 2009? Considering skipping it this year.

For the love of everything holy. Can Roman Reigns be a less compelling character?
