Hopefully Nak dropping the strap means he's getting called up, but I could see a rubber match with Joe happening as well.

I think the real surprise comes from that the company who gave us the 2004 Lesnar-Goldberg match gave us this one. It's the exact same company. Same WWE. Same Vince McMahon.

I fully thought they were going to attempt to do a good version of what they/we thought we wanted that 2004 match at the 20th Wrestlemania to be.

Instead we got a bully finally get his comeuppens. Lesnar didn't take Goldberg seriously the whole time, was literally laughing in his face, and then Goldberg gave him his three strongest moves at three vulnerable moments.

Goldberg never lost his luster and, even retired 12 years, never fell from the invincible main eventer status. Overall, even with Brock's UFC background, it makes sense and is kayfabe believable and sets us to go in so many different directions.

I'm happy.

I loved that men's survivor series match. Felt like a big deal despite no real stakes.

And as someone who never liked Goldberg, I'm surprised how okay I am with that finish. I'm shocked they let an outsider like Goldberg dethrone Lesnar, but it makes everyone involved more interesting going forward.

I'm now hearing Goldberg has agreed to do more WWE dates. I thought this was a one off match, but it was not. The squash being booked makes more sense now.

Plus, kayfabe-wise, Goldberg's the most protect performer ever. Never had a clean loss, and nobody's ever kicked out of the Jackhammer.

The whole thing makes sense

We haven't really discussed it, but anyone else think Orton joining the Wyatt family has completely refreshed both entities?

Still seems weird to me, like I'm just waiting for Orton to pull a D-Bry and turn every time they're on TV together. If they're going to commit to it, Orton needs to change his look at least a little bit.

Denim vest over the hoodie and it's a wrap.

New rumor is Styles/Taker at Royal Rumble.

Styles/Taker at Rumble sounds great, but the second part of that rumor I don't know about, which is Taker beating Styles for the belt and Cena winning the Rumble.

I'm down for Cena-Taker at Mania by all means, but not for the belt and especially not with Cena as Rumble winner.

After the Heyman promo, how do we feel about Goldberg-Lesnar now?

Or WWE's current trajectory in general?

BTW - if you're still not watching Lucha Underground PAUL LONDON just joined last week.

That Heyman promo was amazing. Totally interested in the Rumble and the rematch.

Outside of the US TITLE MEANING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (thanks for taking it away for Rusev you dicks)...I'm feeling better about Raw lately. I'll save judgement till after Roadblock, but they need to make Owens matter again. Jericho is getting over and that is great, but they need kicking out of Super AA's beat John Cena on day 1 Kevin Owens back. A legit win over Reigns would do that going into Mania.

I'm okay with Sasha and Charlotte tradings wins. I like that both suffered hometown losses in brutal matches as well. I do hope they go in different directions soon and aren't working Mania against each other. Speaking of Mania, I'm pulling for:

Styles vs Undertaker (suprise rumble winner)
Lesnar vs Goldberg
Reigns vs Cena (fuck the brand split, just do it)
KO vs Finn Balor
Sasha vs Bayley

Add Rollins-HHH and Miz vs Zigler in a ladder match and I'm in on that card.

I have a feeling they are building KO-Jericho for Mania though.

Yeah, but most likely without the title. I love KO, but that devalues him a lot.

If KO mops the floor with Reigns and Jericho wins his fued with Rollins (maybe with HHH interference), Jericho would have a legit claim to being the #1 contender until Balor comes back. If they build up Jericho's threat to the title to match how over he is, it will be good for both.

KO is greatness but Jericho should really have the title, he's just over as fuck.
