I have been on a Jackie Chan fix as of late, and have been buying and try to find all of the ones I don't own. This week I picked up:

I also picked up:

I paid $5 a piece for them. I only have a few more Jackie Chan movies to buy and I think I will own all of his HK movies.

I just saw this is coming out in on 3/30:

Going to have to pick that up also.

What's good with "The Lives of Others"?

Image

[quote]Nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, this is a first-rate thriller that, like Bertolucci's The Conformist and Coppola's The Conversation, opts for character development over car chases. The place is East Berlin, the year is 1984, and it all begins with a simple surveillance assignment: Capt. Gerd Wiesler (Ulrich M

Yes definitely. Really well acted and literally has the best ending line of all time. It's a bit of a slow-burner though, so be prepared.

Jet Li, Tony Jaa and a lot of those other guys are cool but Jackie Chan is the best that ever did it.

It's a R1 only affair. Besides, I gave all my VHS tapes to charity shops years ago.

This poster is fucking awesome.

By the way, watched the movie today and it's fantastic.

5 men. 4 walls. 1 plan.
The jailbreak genre has a new white-knuckle classic: Brian Cox of Zodiac and The Bourne Supremacy stars as convict Frank Perry, a tough lifer determined to bust out of a London penitentiary to see his terminally ill daughter before she dies. But first he ll have to assemble a hardcore crew, battle the brutal prison kingpin, and pull off one of the most daring and suspenseful escapes in movie history. Joseph Flennes (Shakespeare in Love), Liam Cunningham (Hunger), Sue Jorge (City of God), Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!), Steven Mackintosh (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) and Damian Lewis (Life) co-star in this intense and internationally acclaimed debut feature from co-writer/director Rupert Wyatt, featuring the exclusive song The Escapist by Coldplay.

Watched this last night. Funny as fuck, I thought. The last half-hour was semi-gay, but it's good for a night in (nh).

Another ill one. A slow burn, but I liked it. Winslet's manliness is almost too much.

I have a HD DVD player that I bought for upconverting, because at the time it was one of the best ones out there. I was scouring ebay for any HD-DVD's on the cheap. I got 7 for $25 bucks.

Dune
Fear And Loathing
Hot Rod
40 Year Old Virgin
Bourne Identity
Bone Collector
The Interpreter

You haven't seen Mother's Day? Best. Troma. Ever.

Interested to hear your thoughts on Long Weekend, as I've only seen the remake, which was ok.

With the exception of a few movies, I'm not really into that whole Troma schtick. I do really like Blood Sucking Freaks, even Troma seem to distance themselves from that movie.

Not even sure if I've seen the original Long Weekend or not. My friend was harping on about it when we saw clips of it on Not Quite Hollywood saying we saw it years ago when we were kids, I have no memory of it whatsoever despite the concept sounding vaguely familiar. Definitely not seen the remake, however.
