Community (NBC) - 8 EDT
The love affair we all had for this show seems to be fading week after week. The Community thread here was always popping with quotables from the previous episodes. This season a week will go by before someone bumps the thread only to complain at how shitty the show has become. Sadly, 6 seasons and a movie looks to be an unreachable goal at this point.
Hannibal (NBC) - 10 EDT
Tonight would be episode 4’s spot but instead NBC announced they are pulling the episode and instead will air episode 5. Apparently, episode 4 is so violent (kids killing kids) that in the wake of the Sandy Hook killings as well as the Boston Marathon bombing, the show’s creator, Bryan Fuller decided himself that NBC should skip it. To help with continuity issues, NBC has turned episode 4 (titled Ceuf) into a web series. Part 1 of that series can be found here, http://www.nbc.com/hannibal/video/ceuf-part-1/n35825
Interestingly, other countries that air Hannibal will be seeing the proper episode 4 tonight. So, if you’re like me you’ll DVR episode 5 and then search for a download link for episode 4 and watch them in order, bypassing the censored web series.
Hopefully all these episodes will remain intact once it becomes available on DVD.
2013 NFL Draft (ESPN/NFL Network) - 8 EDT
College kids ‘bout to get paid tonight.
NBA D-League Finals: Rio Grande Valley Vipers vs. Santa Cruz Warriors (CBS Sports Network) - 9:30 EDT
The NBA’s Developmental League Finals starts tonight. Affiliates of the Houston Rockets (Vipers) vs. Golden State Warriors (Santa Cruz) in a best of 3 series.

The Following (FOX) - 9 EDT
Tonight is the season finale. I can’t say this show is all that good, yet I’ve stuck with it from the beginning. The storylines are almost WWE-like with all the turns that are going on. I do suspect one more major turn and that’ll be FBI Agent Mike Weston. He’s survived being shot, took severe beatings, and seems to know where the cult would be hiding, which resulted in the deaths of many more innocents. How convenient of him. I’m sure they’ll claim he took the bullets and beatings as a test to see if he truly was with them.
Red, White & New (Travel Channel) - 10/10:30 EDT
In this all-new Travel Channel series, join high-octane thrill seeker Steve Watson as he travels the country in search of America’s newest gadgets, coolest vehicles and the strangest new skills. Watch as Steve highlights some of the best “only-in-America” success stories.
NHL Tonight: 2013 Playoff Preview (NHL Network) - 7 EDT
Did you know that the playoffs start tomorrow? Did you even know that the NHL strike had ended? Well, it’s that time of year where hockey is exciting.
This 2-hour special covers all the info on what teams and players to watch.
I’ll be completely honest. I live maybe 15 minutes from where the Tampa Bay Lightning play and I have no clue if they’ve made it to the post-season this year.

Inside Amy Schumer (Comedy Central) - 10:30 EDT
Inside Amy Schumer is the new series featuring Schumer's provocative and hilariously wicked mind, as she explores topics revolving around sex, relationships, and the general clusterf*ck that is life through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man-on-the-street interviews.
The reviews sound pretty great.
Grimm (NBC) - 10 EDT
I’ve never watched this show but in case any of you do, it has now moved from Friday to Tuesday nights.
Baseball: Bryce Begins (ESPN) - 9 EDT
Reason’s man-crush gets a 1-hour special.

The Americans (FX) - 10 EDT
Season finale! This is the best show on TV...at least until Breaking Bad returns.
The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius (Discovery Channel) - 10 EDT
The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius will feature a seemingly impossible engineering challenge to be solved by the contestants each week. Competitors will have just 30 minutes to come up with a solution using their own intellect to complete the challenge. Based on logic and design, the expert panel of judges will determine the best engineering concept and select two captains to lead their team to execute the project. The team with the best design will remain safe, but the losers will face the judges who will determine which member will be eliminated.
The cameras will not only capture the tension and pressure in the design workshop, but will also go inside the living quarters where all the competitors must reside – dealing with each other’s quirks and habits.
The winner of the competition will earn $50,000 and a one year contract to work at WET, the industry leader behind some of the world’s most innovative water-based designed environments and experiences including the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius is hosted by actor and producer Kal Penn. He is joined each week by judges Mark Fuller, President and CEO of WET and Dr. Christine Gulbranson, a nanotechnologist and renewable energy innovator.
Family Tools (ABC) - 8:30 EDT
Will not watch.
Jack Shea (Kyle Bornheimer) has never had much luck when it comes to his career. In the Police Academy, he accidentally shot himself. In the Army, he accidentally shot someone else. And seminary school didn’t work out so well when he started suggesting “punch ups” for the Bible.
But Jack is forced to put his constantly-changing dreams on hold when his dad Tony (JK Simmons), has a heart attack and is forced to retire from his hometown handyman business. Now, armed with big dreams, power tools and a slacker assistant, Darren (Edi Gathegi), Jack becomes the new Mr. Jiffy-Fix.
But it’s not easy: Jack has a tendency to bite off more than he can chew and it doesn't help that his dad is always looking over his shoulder. But if Jack can find his sea legs, with a little help from his family including his forceful and outspoken Aunt Terry (Leah Remini), his teenage cousin, Mason (Johnny Pemberton), and Darren's flirty sister, Stitch (Danielle Nicolet) he just might finally make his father proud.
From Joshua Sternin and J.R. Ventimilia (That ‘70s Show, Rio), Bobby Bowman (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl) and Mark Gordon (Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds) comes a new ensemble comedy about trying to find your true calling, right at home.

Maron (IFC) - 10 EDT
Marc Maron has been a comedian for 25 years. He’s had his problems. He was an angry, drunk, self involved, twice divorced compulsive mess for most of his adult life, but with the popularity of a podcast he does in his garage and a life of sobriety, his life and career are turning around. MARON explores a fictionalized version of Marc’s life, his relationships, and his career, including his incredibly popular WTF podcast, which features conversations Marc conducts with celebrities and fellow comedians. Neurosis intact, Maron is uniquely fascinating, absolutely compelling and brutally funny.

The season finale. A very weak season, obviously marred by the removal of Dan Harmon and the exit of the Russo brothers. Still no word on if this show is returning next season. Not a good sign.

Bob Saget takes to the stage with a song in his heart. A filthy, filthy song to be exact. In his latest stand up special, Saget lets loose and embraces the dark side as he tells his favorite dirty jokes and stories about his dad - the guy who made him like this.

Ahhh, you found it! I quietly let it die and then unstickied it when I knew it would no longer appear on the first page.tehgiftofgab wrote:so is this done or just takin' a break?
A week went by when I couldn't find anything worth adding. The lack of replies pretty much showed me that it wasn't missed. It's funny, yesterday I was looking for stuff to record for myself and all I kept thinking about was "oh, I should post that show on , that one, too." I felt like I was doing a disservice here.
Daily posts might be too much but I may resurrect it as a weekly thing, probably in June when more mid-season shows start appearing.

I personally like this thread more when you are posting documentary, specials, or cool shows on travel, natgeo, etc. Posting the very well known shows or sporting events doesn't help out too much. I am by no means complaining and really do appreciate this thread and the effort, but just putting in my 2 cents.
