Tits were spectac. That squad of road kill hookers looked tantalizing as well. Story is dope so far.

guess it could have been something of the occult persuasion for the hoods were colored. wouldn't recommend hitting up imdb to find out who someone is on this show cause they list the # of eps everyones in and believe i know something now i would have rather not

Love the Robert Chambers allusions. This shit definitely has more of a horror vibe than I expected.

They were Klan hoods.
i don't think so, these def don't look like regulan clan robes. not white, much more elaborate and costume-ish. some look like they're wearing masks and peaked hats not hoods

The costumes and shit have varied regionally and over time. The all white "glory robe" was for fancy city klan. Pop culture had just run with it. Especially in Louisiana and Mississippi they would rock whatever they had around the crib. I could be wrong and it could be some ol occult shit, but I'm willing to bet its just some swamped out klan steez. You're thinking of Cajun Mardi Gras where people dress up similarly, but I don't know why they would put that in there. Definitely wouldn't fit the vibe of the show at all and would be pointless.

i was indeed thinking that these costumes might have some kind of occult or historical tie-ins, which would make sense plot-wise. the klan allusion is a great fit for creating atmosphere, but i'm not sure how they would tie that into the murder

There are some catholic rituals and stuff associated with the festivities, but they involve young men. I guess I (and most other people) assumed that it was klan just based on the flow of the show and tr pose in the pic. I didn't give them enough credit to dig into the Mardi gras shit. The costumes are close enough that they are banned by law any other time than Mardi gras and Halloween. It'll be a cool little thing for us to follow if it had any relevance.

How strange were woodys kids reinacting matts daughters accident and making it look like a gang bang. Awesome.

So around what episode do you think they actually stop doing the interviews in the present?

I wonder if the whole series is gonna focus on just this one case or if other cases come into play in later episodes and the object of the present day investigation has to do with something that developed in the course of a prolonged partnership between Hart and Cohle

I think that's too obvious. There will be some tie to the killer they caught in the 90's. The mystery isn't as compelling as watching all the characters interact.
