Thing I hate the most is that DC needs to merge their TV universe with their movie universe. Starting the suicide squad in Arrow and then getting wack ass Will Smith to play Deadshot kinda sucks. Its just no cohesiveness which is why Marvel tends to get more people loyal to them than DC.

I thought the same at one point, but watching Marvel Studios repeatedly stumble with that shit, frustrating fans, I'm beginning to think perhaps DC made the right decision keeping them separate.

Admittedly the shit is apparently way harder than I assumed to keep cohesive.

I don't think it would be wise to allow the CW's budget dictate what actors you put in $100 million movies.

As I stated in the bvs thread, BvS is the best comic book movie since Dredd, the hate it has gotten thus far is mind numbing.

Wanted this to be so much better than it was.

To be clear, I am in no way down with the over the top critical panning shit that's going on, but there was just a lot of wasted potential here in my opinion.

Felt like there was an awesome movie in there somewhere but it never really took off. There were points where I had no idea what they were trying to do. Pretty weak build up for Enchantress and her motivations and goals. Music was real whack too.

yeah song selection was atrocious. it was like they tried to pull a guardians of the galaxy move, and instead made a 55 year old WASPs bonfire party playlist. personally found it distracting.

seemed like getting to the big battle all happened really fast, and then getting to the end of the movie took a long time from there. rushed the beginning, dragged the end. every different part of the battle felt like it was designed strictly to make a video game crossover interesting (helicopter level, deadshot berzerker mode level, enchantress stealth mode level).

captain boomerang has to be the worst excuse for a super villain of all time. laughably bad character in the movie, and even worse concept for a character. that being said i don't follow the DC universe AT ALL and never heard of him, just felt like something someone thought up in the 50s. the fact my theater's audience laughed at him stuffing a unicorn in his jacket blew my mind, did not see a lick of cleverness or humor in that.

killer croc was hella problematic.

all that being said, it's whatever, wasn't as bad as it got made out to be...it's not like a fantastic 4 attempt or something, but yeah had a lot of issues.

they really should have done another movie before this, a joker movie with the harley quin origin like the flashbacks they had in suicide squad would have been better.

overall it feels like they're trying to play catch up with marvel/avengers instead of doing there own thing.

Worse than Batman Vs Superman. You can totally tell they only spent 2 months on the screenplay, its cliche as fuck. Generic voiceover first act introducing each character while they do interesting things (Expendables 3 had the exact same shitty intro). Middle act of generic battle in street and generic battle in office building. Third act versus poorly-developed villains who are building a completely unexplained weapon with the power to destroy the world, only to be defeated by Deus Ex Machina plot device.
Without Margot's Harley Quinn, the movie would have been completely unbearable. Leto's joker was the worst to date and as much as I like Joel Kinnaman, he doesn't have the screen presence to be Rick Flag.

Not as bad as some people made it out to be and not as great others made it sound. Its a good movie, imo, just not an instant classic superhero flick.
For the most part, I enjoyed it. Maybe a 1/4th of the movie was dragging its ass, I'd say.
Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and Joker were my fav. characters.
