Lady Olenna went out like a G. She was one of my fav characters on the show.

the only thing he can't see in his tree is people skills

funny to see Danny get her ass handed to her right of the bat

if they're gonna do a rushed cliffnotes version of the end game all the scenes should be as good as Oleana's ending (RIP)

I couldn't tell if Bran coming off as a douche was intended or simply bad acting. That scene with him and Sansa should have been much better.

While I generally agree with the major points set forth by Yohan and Drizzle, I think Arya, Sam, Jorah, and Gedry will play larger roles than expected. I think Arya will have some sort of stand-off with Melisandre, Sam will wind up having a bigger role against the Whites, Jorah will be able to go to Valaryia (or something having to do with his cure/ability to face the stone men), and Gedry- no clue. Also, the Hound will hopefully get to wreck some shit, perhaps at the wall against the Whites.

Wouldn't surprise me if the minor characters have some sort of 'satisfying' - so to speak - end game. I'm just saying most won't be instrumental to advance the main plot, they're just there because they were there at the start of the show. I can definitely see something happening for Arya and Sam which might tie in with the conclusion of the show: the defeat of the White Walkers.

Re: E03, can't say I love the series of unplausable victories for the Lannisters to raise the stakes for Dany's eventual victory. Runs counter to pretty much the entire GoT/ASoIaF philosophy. Even though I understand why Jon doesn't really succeed in selling the White Walkers to Dany, I thought it became pretty infuriating to watch. Absolutely hated the comment about Braavos being involved in the slave trade, especially as their entire M.O. is to resist and denounce slavery. Also, all battles were pretty terrible from my point of view, ranging from unplausible to utterly bullshit. Those teleportation games are also crazy, the person movements all around Westeros just don't make sense. Can't say I liked this episode a lot.

However, every scene with Tyrion was pretty great and it's also great to finally see Sansa as a competent ruler, which D&B hyped her up to be. Bran coming home was also pretty nice.

drizzle do you have knowledge of what Melisandre was talking about having to die in Westeros? Is that a book thing?

TBH I don't remember. Might be a vague allusion somewhere to some prophecy where she sees her own death but nothing that I can recall that's more concrete than what she said in the show.

People who have future/past seeing powers knowing about their own death is a pretty common thing in this world anyway.

she was just predicting his death and letting him know that when he goes to westeros he will die there... I wonder if it causes him to try to escape death and not go or do something stupid

i'm actually good with the current pacing. just 7 eps so they keep it moving. throwing 2 battles into one segment makes sense given the context -- lannisters dodged the unsullied & took a more strategic location. then we got that sweet olenna scene. v satisfying.

i like how jaime learned from robb. without his hand to lean on he's becoming "the man i always knew you could become" or whatever tywin said in s2. interested to see how olenna's info poisons him against cersei.

1- bring them back to their son's death & protract conflict over cersei blaming their bro
2- "she is a disease" etc

the actor change was super embarrassing and I think they just want to ignore/deny that the character ever happened.

I forgot, why did they switch out the original actor again?

I went a head and watched it. GREAT FUCKING EPISODE. Quality was whatever but it was watchable. But now I have to wait 10 days for a new episode.....I've made a terrible mistake.
