RIP to the best looking girl in the zombie apocalypse who isn't already spoken for. Damn shame she died before Daryl (or likely anyone) could hit it.

Herschel should have had more daughters.

Speaking of, how are both his daughters fly as fuck, but look NOTHING alike?

:pedodids: That girl is like 16 , no?

Her dying was my shit though. Cause I'm happy anytime a major cast member dies on this show.

Michonne chopping the door down and slicing zombies' heads off with the baby on her back was one of the stupidest things i've ever seen. Terrible mid-season finale.

Whoa...that's nuts. She looks like she's a kid. She's like the ideal girlfriend for guys who are secretly pedo but wanna function in society.

I was surprised too, I knew she was over 18 but had to look it up. Figured she was like 21.

I thought this half season was mediocre. Shit hasn't been the same since they left the prison and stopped beefing with the Governor. There have been some great episodes here and there ("Look at the flowers", this season's premiere, others) but the overall story arcs haven't really kept me interested.

-The hospital and the church, as locations and basis for stories were boring as fuck.
-The skill level of the crew being essentially super-human is fun in one respect, but I rarely feel the danger/suspense I felt in early seasons when I genuinely felt anybody could die at any time at the hands of zombies.

Everyone in the group is pretty much expendable but Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl. From the look of the teaser for the second half of the season it looks like that fear should return as the group has nowhere to go, no mission driving them, and no safe haven on the horizon. Also, I expect some of the fodder added the group to be taken out pretty quickly in the second half of the season (Rosita, Eugene, Noah, Gabriel etc)

Did y'all fully understand the dynamics of the hospital? I watch a lot of TV/football on Sundays so by the time I get to Walking Dead, I'm usually pretty burnt and only half paying attention. Still, I found all the time paid to the hospital a little confusing and lacking in dramatic bang-for-buck.

I couldn't tell if the 'good cops' wanted to get rid of Dawn cus she was letting the rapist's cops rape or were they all raping? Was the puerto rican cop that got off'd by rick a rapist? Somebody breakdown the rape dynamics of hospital.

how are all the folks in the hospital clean shaven, showered and in clean scrubs and uniforms? meanwhile rick and the crew look like re-fried waifs?
less than compelling mid season cliff hanger. They didnt need to kill beth, i would have gladly traded sasha or carl.
there seems to be a pattern of creating these story lines then eliminating them in a matter of a couple months. i want a consistent plot or a new antagonist...something

looking for deeper meanings or layers is the mistake a see a lot of people making when it comes to analyzing the walking dead. there simply aren't any, everything is as basic as it gets. with regards to the hospital, it was simply the cops are in charge, they are bad, they are abusing their power, they are keeping everyone they "rescue" as slaves and also raping the females.

i dont know if the priests dark secret was simply that he locked everyone out of his church or if theres more to it. it would be very walking dead if that was his whole arc. group saves priest, priest has weird secret, secret is revealed, group doesnt care, priest joins group and connects with a few characters (in this case coral and mishon), priest dies, and we are supposed to be tricked into caring like he mattered, when the reality is he was irrelevant other than being the conduit to a main setting for the season. (he hasnt died yet, but im predicting he will.)

i still keep thinking back to the episode that centered around roid-rage-redhead, where he was having those flashbacks to how he first met eugene. before that he was on some zombie murder spree and his own family was like afraid of him or something. was that it? or is there more to it. he protected them by killing a bunch of people, but they couldnt handle seeing daddy in bloodlust mode, so the ran away scared and all died as a result, and he feels responsible? see now im making the same mistake, looking for something deeper when there likely isnt anything there.

fuck this show, but il still watch. RIP Beth, why couldnt it have been coral instead.

I think the big part of there being no real suspense is I don't care about any of the characters. Not sure if that's relative to no one getting as much as a paper cut ever.

like who even cares if Beth dies? She hasn't even been around in ages.

They said his wife and daughter were raped in front of their son by the other surviving humans, so he went nuts and beat them to death(via Talking Dead). None of that was too clear from the ep as why would the wife run from her husband who just beat some rapists to death(especially when said rapists, raped you and your daughter).

Basically it's like in real life, most cops suck.

So he can go full beast mode and kill tons of zombies with just a hammer, and sometimes just his bare hands, yet a stupid little child zombie can sneak up on him and murk him? Fuck outta here.

That was some dinner theater acting at it's finest. Who ever directed that episode needs to fall back a little on the artsiness and understand this show is only good when it involves tension and killing zombies. Not feelings and artistic cut aways to bushes in the breeze.

they went a little overboard on the talking dead. Great acting isn't exactly what I would call that. Highly embellished, mildly compelling.

People still complaining about the acting on this show in season 5? Definitely a bit of an underwhelming first Ep back though.
Any comic book readers wondering if the emphasis on Glen getting that baseball bat is a bit of foreshadowing?

Only cause Talking dead was jocking it...and that episode seemed particularly terrible, acting wise.
Btw, where's KKKarl? It would be dope if they just never bought him back with no explanation.
