the few moments of footage they showed in this commercial are hard to judge, but maybe qt got his head out of his ass for a moment and actually made an action movie that has action in it.

it's interesting that ET is pushing this heavy as a 'brad' movie, not a qt movie. speaks a lot about his status as a bankable director

I agree with you drizzle, this looked promising, although there wasn't alot to go off of. So the trailer is tonight? Is the movie finished? I thought he was trying to get it funded still like, last week.

this looks good. but im usually sold on most promising trailers.
looking forward to see how tarantino will master this type of non-kitsch" cinematography. Actually looks like normal movies and not a comic book in real life.

i know it is, and they all but supressed any mention of qt what so ever. which speaks to his current status in the big budget world, where he used to be some kind of neo-jesus at one point

Hey folks, Harry here... Just letting you know the lowdown on the INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS trailer. If you search around YouTube you can see Entertainment Tonight's tease that they'll be running the 'full trailer' tonight. As you and I both know, it isn't very likely that Entertainment Tonight will run the full, unmolested trailer. You'll probably hear some shrill voice talking over part of it, and they'll do their own whiz bang flashy graphics. And we know the trailer will be hitting this Friday on prints of FRIDAY THE 13TH. But the full unmolested trailer will be debuting online tomorrow and we'll be linking you right to it.

Also, I'm hoping to have my set visit piece finished to go up around the time the trailer hits. If young Quint is concerned about flashy cool Quentin... I can set his worries at peace. This is a teaser trailer, for all audiences. Thus the Green Band attached to the trailer. In my visit, I witnessed over 100 Nazis killed with immense style, flair & fury. My copy of the script has Nazi Brain Blood Splatter across it from a fucking killer Nazi death. I've seen scalps, bloody and dripping. I saw... hell, let's save that for the larger set piece. Just wanted to give you a heads up on the trailer's imminent arrival. Later...

EXACTLY, if this were the follow up to Pulp Fiction they would have showed QT instead of the trailer, just him, a photo of him. Unfortunately grindhouse got made..

Tarantino is still the dude. I enjoy all his movies including his latter ones. The guy appreciates the same old films as me and it shows in his work. The flack he gets is largely due to folks not able to interpret between pastiche and blatant copying and his whole geeky fan-boy conduct in interviews. I couldn't give a damn about his stock value in Hollywood or the revisionist u-turn the media has blasted his portfolio with. I always see his movies as a rare treat from the countless generic fodder that gets released every week, month and year.

i'll watch anything Quentin Tarantino makes. The only movie of his that I don't like is Death Proof.

can't embed from there, but this is the full thing:

http://movies.yahoo.com/premieres/11990 ... ardformat/

looks pretty good

i didn't understand why QT cast people like Roth and Ryan the Temp and Neil Schweiber as part of the platoon until i saw them all lined up - they all look like uber-joos, and as such would be perfect nazi killing machines.

Because scrawny guys have more psychotic potential (we call 'em twisters).

Trailer looks good although a red band trailer would give more of a real deal in what to expect. This is the movie I want to see the most over the summer.

No idea how long this link will last.

I still don't know if it just one movie or there'll be a volume 2 out a month later ala Kill Bill.

I'm interested.

Not a fan of Pitt's horrible accent.

Yeah, I get the feeling this is going to be disappointing.

I'm cautiously optimistic towards this.
Pitt's accent does seem to be atrocious in that trailer. Wish it showed more.
