i never really dug into Oz, i have heard good things about it but never managed to put eyes on it.

i loved this show until the last season.
the series finale will go down in history as the biggest copout bullshit ever. maybe excluding when "dallas" was all a dream. but who watched
"dallas"?
the last season was laughably retarded but i always tuned in. that's kinda HBO's steeze. they make some very watchable shows that also happen to kinda suck.

Top 10 obviously.Loved all 6 seasons.The storyline was never out of context or in anyway rushed by the writers.And you cant go wrong with cameos from Jamar, LL Cool J, Method Man, Treach and Master P.

Its fun trying to watch Oz cast members on other shows. I just cant do it. It almost ruins good shows (Fringe, Dexter, True Blood, Heroes, hell even Sopranos etc.) when Oz people pop up.

Pretty overrated. Entertaining, good for shock value, but basically pop television imo. Better than most of what was on TV at the time, but not in the same status as Wire/Lost/Deadwood/Shield.

loved it when it was running regularly. watched about half of 2 seasons in the beginning and just got busy. prison shows are fascinating. i even like bad prison movies though like The Castle

O'Reilly was basically my hero growing up. Dude was straight up Machiavellian yo. The show started going downhill when they introduced his retarded brother, imo.
