Robert Rodriguez Prolific jack-of-all-trades filmmaker Robert Rodriguez recently spilled the beans on his upcoming slate at a press conference at his Troublemaker Studios and the folks at the IESB were on hand to gather the scoopage.
He told the assembled crowd: "I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons."
Wow, a lot of stuff revealed in a very short statement. First of all, MACHETE is a go, which is awesome. Second, he's still attached to SIN CITY 2 which is double awesome. And third, he's pluralizing his PREDATOR reboot? Is this necessary? One bad ass Predator isn't enough? Let's just hope he gets started on any one of these sometime soon.
probably doing it to get a fat check for the ones he really wants to do. he does well with this kind of thing anyway, spy kids (at least the first one) was much better than it had any right to be.
these are all good news, even if half of this happens i'll be happy. machete and sin city 2 are the ones i'm really rooting for
i'm pretty excited about anything Rodriguez does pretty much. i actually thought the first spy kids was better then i thoguht it would be even though i really dislike the other two.
nostalgia is clouding your usually stellar judgment my friend. unless they completely re-invent the concept, which is highly unlikely, the difference is in name only
This could be good...If they focus on the Predators themselves(kind of like the comics, books and video games) it could be really dope...Honestly, if Arnie and Co., or Danny Glover aren't in it who gives a shit about the humans characters? Don't really see why a "reboot" is neccesary.
