Will 18 hours be enough for the last season? (By the way, Season 6 will consist of a two-hour season premiere, 13 episodes and three-hour series finale that will air over two weeks -- but as Cuse joked, "Iגm sure the network will sell it as a six-part finale if they can.") Cuse: "For us, [18 hours] is just about right. I mean, we arenגt sitting here feeling like, 'Oh my God, we need a ton more hours to tell the rest of our story.' It feels like itגs going to work out just fine. It will have been the right length."

good article, im a big fan of the prisoner, i think that finale was almost perfect in that there was no real answer but all the ways that it could be interpreted all tied in to the main themes of the show.
i dont think lost is nearly as allegorical as the prisoner, its more based on archetypes and the specific struggles of the characters themselves so i have to think more than anything they will try to give each character a meaningful resolution. but really the main character is the island so we have to expect some amount of resolution to the island, or maybe not, who knows.
they seem to be foreshadowing the cycle of people coming to the island, and maybe the flight 815 people are going to be the ones to break the cycle. i agree about desmond and penny and little charlie, if they are messed with i will be really upset.
good things to think about

not at allTrademark wrote:never got in to it? Should I? Is it too late?
it's not the greatest thing ever but it is very good entertainment, sucks you in pretty hard if you let it.
lost works best when you can watch a couple at a time imo, watching it 'live' is frustrating. it's easier to keep track of numerous minor details when you absorb them all continuously in close succession as opposed to in tiny installments over a course of several months
if you start with season 1 now and don't burn through it too fast, by the time you get to 6 it should be out on dvd already. you wont skip a beat
