Harmony Korine named his top ten favorite films of all time in a December 1999 issue of Dazed & Confused: "Pixote", "Badlands", "Days of Heaven", "Fat City", "Stroszek", "The Killing of a Chinese Bookie", "A Woman Under the Influence", "McCabe & Mrs. Miller", "Out of the Blue" and "Hail Mary".

Fucking solid list.

I don't think any of them have been available in the west besides Sex Hunter, at least not as a legit release in the US. That's the only one I've ever come across and I scan pretty much anything.everything that comes out as far as japanese exploitation.

Asylum comes through with the all-girl version of Expendables. Def watching this.

Also Raze came out on dvd a few weeks ago, which is all about women beating the shit out of each other and supposedly really good.

First one was a waste of a great concept. New film reminds me a little of Hard Target, so I'm most likely watching this eventually. Probably going to be disappointing.

I love the shit out of both of those Bronson movies.

in other bluray news:
Earlier today at Comi-Con, U.S. distributors Shout Factory/Scream Factory revealed that they are planning to add a number of catalog titles to their Blu-ray catalog. Amongst them are George A. Romero's The Dark Half (1993) and Monkey Shines (1988), Bill Condon's Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995), William Wesley's Scarecrows (1988), Tobe Hooper's Invaders from Mars (1986), Emmett Alston's New Year's Evil (1980), Dwight H. Little's Phantom of the Opera (1989), Stuart Gordon's Dolls (1987), George Miller's Mad Max (1979), Jay Levey's UHF (1989), and John Carpenter's Escape From New York (1981).
I hope that means a new transfer for Escape from NY. Also, UHF!

So Arrow is coming to the US! They are trying to fund it through indiegogo.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/arrow-video-usa" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

First 3 releases are Day of Anger, Mark of the Devil and Blind Woman's Curse. Seriously thinking about doing the $175 deal for their first ten releases. Always try to support indie labels as much as possible.
