Yeah I didn't even know about it until I ran across it at my local used movie shop. Think I'm sitting on gold.

Keen to hear your thoughts on Four of the Apocalypse, Tommy. It's a spaghetti western and a Fulci but I still can't decide if I should import it or not.

me and stormy used to beef about 4 for the apocalypse back in teh olden days of cye. i'm a big fan, it's got a really dark gothic vibe and milian is incredible at playing these kinds of psycho roles. Stormy always said it was kinda boring though

Yeah I remember you guys telling me about your contrasting opinions in some other thread. That's why I'm still undecided about doing a blind buy and paying a hefty shipping charge on top of that. Been burnt in the past.

Depressing as fuck. Best music in a movie I've heard in years.

Image

Got this from Anvil's thread. Didn't expect shit from it, but you get an interesting picture. Cillian Murphy is in drag most of the time.

Image

Revisited this bitch. Clooney actually kills it. Tom Wilkinson >>>>>>>

Image

Ben Foster is great. Randy Quaid is Randy Quaid.

Image

Really fucking creepy if you're a parent. Stanley Tucci should have won a Supporting Actor statue for his role.

Image

Sloooooooooooow burn with a disappointing ending. However, for about twenty minutes near the end, Toby KILLS shit. Never thought that preying mantis dude had acting chops.

I saw a used copy of this at the store for $9. I was hoping the blu ray price would come down, but it's still around $25 everywhere that I've seen it.
Not having seen this movie, I was wondering which version to get. The only movies I really favor buying on BD are visually impressive, fuck all the extras. Any opinions?

rele good movie. buy the reg dvd as long as its proper aspect ratio, etc. the movie is mostly a character piece, they did a good job of creating a believable moon environment but it's not space oddyssey 2001 or anything like that. i don't see br making a big difference here

Amazing movie in my opinion. Totally claustrophobic and fascinating and creepy.

Definite buy. I typically hate stuff like this, but Tim Burton is a genius. Really.

Loved the opening shot. Creepy. Definite buy though. Anything Egoyan does I'll check.

I've heard mixed things on Immortal but it always sounded intriguing to me. Let me know what you think of it.

Recent purchases through Amazon, the B&N sale and those ridiculous 5 for $25 plus candy and soda and popcorn deals at Blockbuster.

Also picked up World Trade Center, Observe & Report, 24: Redemption and a few others I can't remember at the moment.

Still not seen Thirst yet.

Makes me weep that In The Mouth Of Madness has not been released on DVD in the UK.

Agreed, but it's all good, I have a mutli-region player.

 I actually finally caved and got me an all-region bluray player not too long ago. Haven't splurged too much yet but I have my eyes on some UK only shit. There are like ten MoC releases that I've been coveting really badly. (the first Melville, Time Masters & Gandahar, The Dr. Mabuse set...)

I'm looking to get a multi-region Blu-Ray player too. Finding it somewhat confusing finding any info about them though.

I take it you've got your eyes on the Paranoiac BD, Tommy?

Speaking of which, just pre-ordered

Hopefully it's not as awful as that artwork. It's the first Hammer movie since 1976, gotta rep.
