I've never seen them on Blu, only on TCM HD and IFC HD.

They seem to have gotten a decent review at blu-ray.com. Not a perfect review, but not enough to sway me from buying it, especially at this price.

just a FYI, I'm taking a small break from doing the DVD picks threads....
I've missed over a month cause I've been real busy recently, and I'm going on vacay next week and I just dont think I'm gonna be able to get caught up

I think I've been making those threads for like 6 years now without missing a week....sure I've had to play catch up a bunch, but I'm pretty sure I've included every single week. kind of depressing to think about

I'll get it going again when I get some time

Hate to see this, those were threads I looked forward to each week.

I'll be glad to step up and attempt to fill the void if you want.

Also, Was out doing some christmas shopping and saw Best Buy is running all HBO shows for 50% off, so shit on blu-ray like Band of Brothers is $35, True Blood seasons $30, etc.
Plus if you buy 3 you get a $10 giftcard.

Also found the new Citizen Kane bluray digibook for only 10 bucks.

This is $11.77 on Amazon right now, easily the lowest I've seen it.
Great price for some rare early horrors from Carpenter, Craven, Oliver Stone, etc.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TS ... 00_details

Also, deepdiscount is having a pretty awesome deal on Kino's entire catalog.
Lowest prices I've seen on their noir sets. Really good price on the Sophia Loren set too.

Weird collection. Dope for that price, From Beyond The Grave might be my favorite anthological horror of all time and I remember The Hand being fucking terrifying back in the day.

Looney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume One (Ultimate Collector's Edition)

Amazon has this for $34.99. Barnes & Noble has it for $39.99, but it's easy to find coupons to lower the price beating Amazon's.

I've been eyeing this set, but Tommy Bunz's fucking cartoons thread put me over the edge and made me buy it. I have the first 3 Golden Collection DVD sets. This Blu-ray set appears to be the same as the Vol. 1 DVD, but with even more cartoons, plus other bonuses.

I love how that set comes with a shot glass  Looney tunes ain't for the kids anymore apparently.
I think that one has 5 new cartoons that weren't in the Golden Collections.
I was pretty tempted to buy it too but haven't pulled the trigger.

Alien Anthology for $30 is a steal, such a great set. Essential.
I've never paid more than $15 for a season of Breaking Bad on bluray. I'm holding out.

Also right now Best Buy has the entire Soprano's series for $59.99.
The new packaging design is awful but the $10 a season is hard to beat and I've given up hope of them putting the whole series out on bluray anytime in the forseeable future.

I think I'm only going to get the first 2 Alien blu rays at Best Buy and get that $10.00 free movie cash so I can watch Prometheus for free. I'm pissed because I've been twice and they've been sold out of Alien and Aliens both times. Plenty of Alien 3 and the abomination that was 4 however....
