yeah OVW was WWE's minor leagues before FCW. Punk actually did a show(i want to say Colt Cabana was booked on it as well) at my high school like 8 years ago i guess.

i regret hating on wrestling at the time and not going. my homie who booked it is still in the biz too, if he ever gets signed i'm gonna brag no matter how lame it looks.

Well i watched Raw late last night while drunk and it was decent. Most of the time was just spent getting a feel for all the characters and shit. I'll be giving it a shot for a few weeks. Eve is for sure gunna turn heel and fuck up Kelly Kelly, not that anyone really cares about divas though.

Ain't Alberto #1 contender now though? My guess: Cena beats Punk, either del Rio or the MITB winner cash in, beat Cena for the title.

Apparently a WWE official told someone from GLAAD that Punk is legit leaving. This is due to Punk calling someone in Australia a homo last week.

They also told GLAAD that Billy & Chuck got married without a hitch right after it taped, only to broadcast two days later that it was interrupted. Vince considers GLAAD on par with PeTA and the PMC. He don't give a fuck.

Kind of funny how up in arms GLADD was though, considering a quick look at Punk's tumblr shows him verbally thrashing any of his followers who tweeted at him that they were against gay marriage.

that #1 contender shit got thrown out the window when Punk got "reinstated" and granted his match....but yeah i have a feeling he may win MITB and cash in...i hope to goodness he does because i'm sick of him doing all this shit for no payoff.....but you already know that!

the lineups for this years MITB matches are kinda weak, especially the smackdown one with faggot ass Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in it...Gabriel might shine in it though.

True, but we both know these are different times for WWE. Vince is trying to be as legit and mainstream as ever, and I think the last thing he wants is a long, drawn out feud with GLAAD. Especially since they just had GLAAD give their writers and creative people "sensitivity counseling."

But the idea of Vince working GLAAD is delicious.

Pretty sure Punk is leaving.

The storyline is that if Punk leaves Chicago with the title, Cena is fired. My money's on Del Rio winning MITB, Punk beating Cena, and Del Rio cashing in on Punk immediately after. Punk won and successfully cashed in MITB twice, so it's a fitting way for him to go out. This would also be his first WWE Title win (he's only won the World Title), which is well deserved. Then Cena and Del Rio would feud into Summerslam, with Del Rio bragging that he "saved Cena's job."

Punk is on an Austin in 96, Flair in the early 90s roll right now. The shit they're letting him get away with is great. And yes, that might be the best promo I've ever seen someone cut on Cena AND Boston. I loved him yelling that Cena might as well be Jeter and Vince is Steinbrenner.

They have to have a deal worked out by now, tho nothing's been reported as of yet.

yep and its making it more evident that if Vince were to realistically let him go he'd be making a gigantic mistake.

this is what the WWE needs right now and w/o it i dont think anyone outside of their reguarl post 2000s fanbase would be interested in the product even slightly.

with that said if Punk does re-sign hopefully he gets a break, he's been talking it up for like a year now and he def needs at least a few months off

It's obviously a work, but this is a great work. I love how they have consistently broke kayfabe in the past couple weeks. It actually has me interested again. In more recent times, wrestling is like a book you've already read, but this angle has kept me guessing.

Is Punk's contract even really expiring? Does he win the belt and go to Japan or ROH? Will we see another Montreal Screwjob? Or will he just lose cleanly, bow gracefully to his hometown crowd and move on from WWE? Shiiiit.

This shit was great:

The Rock shits all over Cena:

With Punk playing the role of Austin, Cena needs to be "The Corporate Champion" The Rock. Have him embrace/accept the "dynasty" role. Something with Punk will get hammered out, I'm sure. Probably a hiatus and a big return.

He's showing he deserves to be a marquee figure, and it's going to be tough for the WWE to ignore his current starpower.

Wonder what Vince thinks of Cena and the Rock doing all these promos via the internet. Vince notoriously despises the internet wrestling community. Which made his recognition of the Zack Ryder sign the other night all the more hilarious.

Also, it seems like they're slowly but surely moving away from the PG product they've put out the last few years. At least I hope so.

Maybe its just me but I don't get the hype. I've given this a shot and I don't see Punk's promos/storyline as anything special. I think it even pails in comparison to stuff wwf was doing even 10 years ago when Angle was running shit. Is wwe that bad nowadays that any little glimmer of hope gets everyone amped up?

yes, it is unfortunately. 10 years ago this promo would have been lost in the shuffle and Punk himself would just be another guy.

in 2011 you arent even allowed to say the word "wrestler" let alone mention the names of numerous people who are not under contract with WWE.

he touches base on so many taboo things in the WWE right now throughout each promo and since they've had such a dark veil over everyone's heads for so long its really a breath of fresh air and thats why this past night on RAW he got such a huge pop..

people have been waiting for this day to come when everything was "back to normal" so to speak...

if you're going into it with past wrestlign knowledge and not watching today's material then its gonna come off as some run of the mill shit but for someone like me who has watched somewhat regularly over the last 2.5 years, this is huge.
