Yeah I enjoyed it, the end tag was pretty stupid but the faces 'normal' Abed made during the weddding were just hilarious.

pretty good like the depressed/darker themed episodes usually. The jabs at Anne Hathaway and Rene Zelweiger were great, the Dean convulsing at swagged out Geoff was also hilarity.

I really enjoyed the Subway/1984 plot, right up to the end when Subway #1 was whisked away. I knew what would ultimately happen, but I still laughed.

Jeff's C-plot about Kim was okay, too. The B-plot with Troy and Abed fell flattest for me.

Thanks my bork. I had actually read up on 1 through 4, but 5 was new to me. Like you said, writing off Pierce would be a loss so I hope they manage to make the best out of this situation. Wouldn't go as far and say Pierce IS Community, but he's most definititely one of the most important cast members.

As silly as Community can be sometimes, they're the type of show that could replace an actor, yet still have the character remain, ala the 2 Aunt Viv's on Fresh Prince. The thing is, who could possibly play the Pierce character as effectively and aloof as Chevy?
