So besides trying to throw every horror trope/cliche into the 1st episode I thought it was a combination of creepy/hilarious.

Sepinwall's critique makes me think I'm in for another season of the Killing where it turns so bad it's mildly enjoyable.

Some of the scenes you can just tell were by NipTuck fag(crying after masterbating)

Jury's out on whether it will be an entertaining mess. It sounds like something I'll catch on demand in a fit of absolute boredom.

The only parts I enjoy are Lange's and the backstory now

the part where they were arguing about the maid was ridiculous, like the dad wouldn't say "She looks like an old hag wtf." They're making it waaay too obvious with the two dancing around the young/old maid.

I read somewhere namign the guy Ben Harmon was a shot at Community's Dan Harmon since he takes so many at Glee.

Show is ridiculous. So many moments that just defy how people would act in the given situation.

But for some reason, I find it highly entertaining. At this point, I'll probably check the entire season.

The back-stories are the best, easily.

Still hasn't really advanced much beyond the original premise but it is different from everything else on tv, so I think that is what is fascinating about the show.

McDermott is now 4 for 4 crying in each episode and it is campy enough to warrant a good few chuckles, like the bucket kick and the bathroom proposal in this episode, and it is weird enough to keep you guessing which direction it is going to take. Fun show if you manage your expectations

Pretty good episode, Ryan Murphy loves to throw the kitchen sink at the audience but rarely explores the inner working of characters that allow us to feel part of the experience and genuinely scared.

Its a great watch when bored. But like Sherm said, the characters just do the most unbelieveable shit so that makes it very hard for me to watch unless I'm stoned and probably eating at the same time.

Ryan Murphy really doesn't know the art of subtlety, I was scarred by the 1st episode that they were just gonna throw a bunch of rehashed horror tropes at us and my fears are correct. Hopefully he can pull together some type of coherent 'rules' the ghosts have to play by or its just gonna be a fly by seat every week.

I found the last episode almost unwatchable. Not because it was any worse than other episodes, but because it's starting to get very boring/repetitive.

There's really no cohesive story-line designed to keep us watching week-to-week. Maybe with the exception of the Rosemary's Baby knock-off, but that is such a blatant rip-off: it's hard to enjoy.

There are a lot of failed things in this show that are on the cusp of working, but overall it's turning out to be pretty bad.

Agreed they should've done more to show the history of the house as that's the most interesting part of the storyline, Murphy said one of the main characters will get the axe so that's something to look forward too.

That episode was better, I like the flashback scenes, also Jessica Lange and the kid who played her son were pretty fantastic in their interaction

I've seen on some message boards that people think Violet is dead already(OD'd from the pills), and it kind've makes sense, Tate telling her she's 'evolved' parents not seeing her eat/leave the room. BUt you never know with Murphy.

way too much shit goin on this last episode, either violet's dead or the writers are trying to bain us into believing she's dead.

i've almost completely lost interest in this show, hopefully they wrap up the harmon family in season 1

showing tate as rubbersuit man was not good as he was the only genuine scary thing about the show since we didn't know who/what he was, yawn.

How does a doctor from the early 1900s(I'm guessing) deliver a baby. Is it the house?
