"Bad" 70's/80's movies and cult classics

Post by Galvatron78 »

You know, the movies that "bombed" and were "horrible" but ended up having a cult following. Comedies that basically were softcore porn, movies so bad they were good. Straight up Cinemax and Showtime late night "comedies" Let's discuss them...

This blew my mind as a kid...Unfortunately cannot find a good trailer for it.
Image

As for H.O.T.S, Id never heard of that one...looks like the guy who said the infamous line in Godfather "I would keep the drugs with the dark people, the coloreds, theyre all animals anyway, let them lose their souls" is in it haha. Also, anyone know the band/song thats being played in H.O.T.S. trailer?

Def not a cult classic by any means, but me and my housemate used to go on binges buying the most terrible looking movies in the 99cent blockbuster bins....this one ruled:

Hot Dog sucks.

Buford's Beach Bunnies starring da god Jim Hanks. The real talent in the Hanks family.

Image
Malibu Bikini Shop: Not one scene takes place in Malibu , it's all filmed in Venice Beach, but it was the 80s so w/e.

Image

King Frat
: This movie sucks, but the first 3 minutes are INCREDIBLE. "King Frat" should have won an Oscar for best song imo.

Image

Gorp: Gorp > Wet Hot American Summer

Also a shout out to Robert Altman's under appreciated OC and Stiggs.

Recently copped The Cheerleaders double-bill released by Arrowdrome. Not seen the second film yet but the first was sleazy as hell.

Slightly going off Galvy's thread but has anyone seen the Angel movies and are they any good? They look like a veritable treasure trove of 80's American exploitation and perfect accompaniments to the likes of Vice Squad, Class of '84 and Savage Streets.

I copped the dvd just over a year ago for dirt cheap and some greedy fuckers on amazon are now selling it for $65 to $300 now.

I really NEED more movies like this. Savage Streets

And yeah, Cheerleaders is fun sleaze. Never saw the sequels tho,

Check out Party Animal y'all, 80's good times. A guy sells his soul to the devil and becomes irresistible to women.

Not sure if this counts, but it might be the best bad movie ever. Pam Grier's in it too.

<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CWJUETL0vD8?ve ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CWJUETL0vD8?version=3&hl=da_DK" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

French flick about a woman with a talking vag

saw the first one a while back, pretty average, not too sleazy but if you used to get sleaze boners as an eight year old reading the back of the box in the video section of the grocery store while your mom bought chicken like me then you have to watch it
