i thought the second episode wasn't as good as the first but its always good. we may think the second season is already better than the first because we're more familiar with the characters though.

Yeah, I think throughout the first season, they kept re-introducing traits about each character so you could understand the show a little more this season. They are definitely 2 for 2 so far.

matt walsh sitting with his leg tucked under him & the singy songy shit in the limo could have killed me. season is so good. in addition to what sammy d was saying above, season may be shining brighter cause of more interconnectedness between eps. there's not a whole lot of it, but it's there and it's paying off pretty splendid. it may have been there in the first season too but my memorys shit and haven't watched that since it aired. for sure though the writing & performances are all batting a hundred trillion right now

man, she was on a roll in that scene alone.

And how about when everyone kept calling Jonah "Jonads" and they kept pissing him off.

Agreed. It's the kind of show that requires you to understand pop-culture/political references and actually pay attention to the dialogue so I feel like 80% of the American public (if not more) just tunes it out on that alone. Plus there's no titties or gore so that's another 80% of HBOs regular demographic that's not gonna tune in next week because they're too busy checking their DVRs for the next episode of True Blood. I will say this season has easily been 100-fold better than the last season where they were still trying to find out what worked/what didn't work and were still trying to create a different tone/feel to The Thick of It. Personally, I think this season has been killing it, and is probably the funniest and most consistent thing on TV this season. Although, I love the cast, the creator, and pretty much everyone involved in the making of this show, so maybe I'm a bit biased.

JLD THO
was actually three back and just gobbled them all up in a row, not the preferred method of watching as a lot of the background or subdued gags get lost that way on first view. but, mike eating a carrot episode before
mike making his way down the stairs to cancel the brunch
mike & jonah & the lorax
shit see now i forget anything else i wanted to mention
show been on another level this season
