Nice Guys (Crow, Gosling, Dir. by Shane Black)
Looks like it could be a worthy follow up to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (fucking finally)

Psysed! Crowe was made for this. I'm wondering if Gosling can pull off the old Gill of detectives. It looks like it.
Buy my mixtape.

this was hysterical
I think KKBB might've been a bit better because the convoluted plotting actually added up to something and even provided a dramatic payoff. Here the plot is wildly convoluted and doesn't feel like it amounts to much, kinda collapses on itself by the end. But Gosling, Crow and the little girl are great, teh use of time period is great, there are some fantastic sight gags and even though not every joke lands it all piles up into a very entertaining 2 hours.

Yeah this was seriously great, takes the inept criminal storyline from Fargo and effortlessly stretches it into an entire movie. I was dying laughing throughout the entire thing and Crowe/Gosling play off each other really well.
Gosling ducking for cover behind the spinning car made me laugh harder than anything has in quite a while.
Only complaint was that we caught a matinee showing and it was filled with loud obnoxious old people for some reason.

So I went to go see this on tuesday. Watching the previews whatever.....there was what I though to be a long preview of the Neighbors 2 (which I had no clue was out) only to realize after about 10 mins that me and my chick are in the wrong theater. I ended up staying. Horrible choice. I think I'll catch this movie this weekend. That is all. Thought I'd share. As you were.

Agree about the overall plot being unnecessarily convoluted, but The Nice Guys was a still a highly entertaining movie. Gosling and Crowe were awesome together. The gags were my type of humour and the nods to Shane Black's previous films were a nice bonus.
