I'm just fucking PISSED that Marvel is making THIS obscure ass shit instead of making a movie with a Black superhero.

I ain't never heard of the shit before, straight up.
I didn't memorize the entire fucking Marvel Who's Who list, I don't know all 500,000 superheroes in the Marvel Universe. It totally slipped under my radar if this shit came out in the 80's.
but if it gets made before Black Panther... I'm still gonna be
for real though. I thought Stan Lee just said Black Panther was going to be one of the high priority Marvel movies being made next? was this the other one he was mentioning? hmm.

word the fuck up. if they just rebooted Spiderman and are about to reboot Fantastic Four, why not Daredevil too? that shit wasn't as bad as everyone said (the soundwave vision was fucking ILL) and even though Colin Farrell was a mouth-breathing maniac as Bullseye, the movie had some redeeming qualities (like Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin )
who do you think should be the new Daredevil?

He'd fit well into the Marvel Cinematic Universe if they had the rights to him.Panama wrote:Daredevil is that mothafucka
Its annoying that all of these other companies are scrambling to reboot shit after they fucked up the previous movies just to make some cash and keep ownership from reverting back to Marvel.
In my opinion, crossover is what has reinvigorated the superhero genre. With Nolan closing out his trilogy a DC crossover is sure to follow.
The rest of these companies trying to make one-offs with major Marvel or DC characters need to give it a rest. There are lots of great stories/characters that dont have this issue, they should be gunning for those instead of holding on to the ones they cant do or havent done justice.

Nah it's a good question. I was trying to find a place to download the Guardians of the Galaxy 2008 run and came up short.
What are the spots online to download free comics from? Preferably something that's not torrents, if that even exists.

As I posted above a good place to start is the Annihilation Conquest Starlord mini, it's four issues and you see an early formation of the current team

Re: Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)
Marvel Studios has a track record of picking unlikely directors for their giant tentpole projects, but they may have just outdone themselves. James Gunn, the indie filmmaker whose last movie was the dark anti-superhero movie Super, is apparently the studio's top choice to direct Guardians of the Galaxy, the upcoming space drama that's a key part of "phase two" of the studio's development.
Announced at Comic Con last month, Guardians of the Galaxy is set for release August 1, 2014, which gives them not a lot of time to put together a CGI-heavy film set in space that features a machine-gun-wielding raccoon as one of its characters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is considering several other unlikely choices if talks with Gunn don't work out-- they're also eyeing Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the indie filmmakers behind projects like Half-Nelson and It's Kind Of A Funny Story, and Peyton Reed, most famous for directing Bring It On. If they had simply thrown darts at a board covered with every director currently alive, I don't think they could have come up with a more seemingly random list.
But that's kind of the magic of the Marvel films so far, which have brought in unlikely choices-- like Kenneth Branagh for Thor, or especially Joss Whedon for The Avengers-- and made them pay off in spadea. Marvel is also famous for refusing to pay top dollar for talent, and Gunn-- whose debut film Slither made $7.8 million total, and whose Super topped out at $327,716 theatrically-- surely can't demand a giant paycheck. We'll see if talks pan out, but Gunn's participation could take Guardians of the Galaxy from what looked like an oddball also-ran Marvel movie to something potentially fascinating, dark and unlike anything else they've made.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins List of Contenders for Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
by Adam Chitwood Posted: January 2nd, 2013 at 10:27 am
The list of contenders for the lead in Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie has gotten a bit more interesting. We learned back in November that a number of actors were on the shortlist for the role of Star-Lord in director James Gunn’s adaptation of the comic, and just a couple of weeks ago reports surfaced that the search had been narrowed down to Jim Sturgess, Zachary Levi (Chuck), and an unnamed third actor. Now it appears that said unnamed actor is none other than the multitalented Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Hit the jump for more.
Word of Gordon-Levitt’s involvement comes via Deadline, who report that Marvel has added JGL to the list of actors they are considering for the lead role of Peter Quill. There’s no confirmation of whether Gordon-Levitt has been offered the role, but he’s certainly the most high-profile actor that has been mentioned thus far. For those unaware, Peter Quill aka Star-Lord was born of a human mother and alien father, and he’s a master strategist and combat expert who wears an ability-enhancing suit and pilots a psychically-linked ship. The character will serve as the audience’s introduction to the galactic world of Guardians of the Galaxy in Marvel’s space-set film.

I kinda hope they dont waste JGL on this project.
Re: Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)
I'd rather it be him than Zach Levi, who I cannot stand. I think JGL working with James Gunn would be an interesting pairing. The Afronaut wrote:I kinda hope they dont waste JGL on this project.
