I've noticed a lot lately, especially at this bar that I hang out at, that there are certain songs that will always and forever be associated with movies. So i decided to make a thread about it.

It's funny how the same song sometimes can be associated with different movies for different people. For example this song:

I instantly think of Goodfellas and Casino but my wife who has never seen either movie says that this song reminds her of Dirty Dancing.

Colors, Fight The Power and theres a few songs used in Harsh Times I now associate with it.

Off topic but Twin Peaks' music being drilled into the viewer leaves its mark. I was going around humming that shit for months.

singin in the rain- clock work orange..

lately scorsese's song choices haven't done it for me.. like the classic rock stuff .. doesn't do it for me anymore i noticed .. which feels messed up cause i used to like it but i think it's a generational thing.. it just doesn't match up with the mobster shit though.. idk maybe i'm a wigger..

never questioned tarantino on the song choice though..

Hmmmmm. Not sure that some of these choices count since they're songs which were recorded specifically for their respective movies. Isn't the thread more about regular songs that were used in movies which are now somewhat synonymous with them?
