Post by WiCkEd22 »

So check it out... I've had Sirius XM Satellite Radio for the last few years now and I have a few friends who don't so I record some of the interview sessions and/or segments that are good and/or with people I like. Here's a bunch of good audio for you guys to listen to from newest to oldest. Enjoy...

Everything I have is what you see there. I've heard that there's various websites that have tons of Stern audio, but I'm not sure what the sites are cuz I've never searched myself. But yeah man, Adam used to sit in on the Stern show A LOT in the early 2000's and before Stern went to Satellite. If I remember correctly, Adam would be on an ISDN line from his house in Los Angeles. I was listening to Stern just about everyday here in the Bay Area since '97 when it debuted here and up til 2005 or whenever that was it went off regular radio. The show is still good now, but it's not the same. Artie is TERRIBLY missed. :sad:

Yeah but its few and far between now. He is on the air Monday - Wed and the other days are just replays. He doesn't get the top tier guests anymore and each show is filled with a bunch of filler. But when he does get a decent guest he usually hits it out the park.

For pure comedy, I don't think anything beats the Opie & Anthony show when Jim Norton & Anthony (and usually one of the great stand ups that sits in like Burr or Attell) are riffing, but in interviews Stern MURDERS them.

Btw, the Esfandiari poker interview cuts off. I found the rest with a quick youtube search.

The Cranston interview is fantastic.

I've read a bunch of Cranston interviews and seen one or two on TV, but he has never been this candid before. Stern brings that out in people.

Exactly, he gets people to open up. A lot of them wilt under his weird, persistent endless string of questions. Plus he actually seems to prepare for almost all of his guests. Interviews from other radio shows suffer from the hosts asking the guest about the one or two things they're famous for followed by a bunch of filler, time-killing questions.

I don't know about you, but I don't really like listening to shit on YouTube, especially when it's seperated in parts... and the sound is usually like shit as well. My recordings come straight from the radio, live.

As for the Poker Player Antonio Esfandiari interview I posted, I just checked and the file is fine. It's only 34:54 and it ends when the interview ends. I don't know what happened to the file you downloaded or listened to?

@WiCkEd22

The bit about Jeff Ross gettin prodded and poked by a green-eyed Milton Berle is just incredible, the stories he has are 'the bomb baby'.

The Mark Wahlberg joint was the shit too, doin a bid while watchin yer brother being a superstar on TV must have hurt, but he's the feckin dude now. Fair play to him, and to his sobriety, I have the utmost respect for anyone that comes outta that healthy and remains in those environs.

To hear that Alec Baldwin coulda played Nucky Thompson is banoodles too !

Was it me or does Howard sound outta touch sometimes, its almost like he's getting filled in [aaayYYYo] by his researchers on alotta info. Odd one.

Thanks so much 1nce again fella, too many top tales

Anyone holdin an avi/ mkv/ etc of Jeff Ross Roasts America ? Thanks in advance
