i thought all of those guys on the list were pretty funny. i think kattan gets the most hate and he's had the worst carrer after snl but i thought he was pretty good at times. i thought corky romano was funny in highschool.. i admitted it..

Yeah, come to think of it, that first season of Horatio Sanz was great. Before he became the loud-fat-laughing guy. I also remember he in some random sketch as some awkward nerd on a cooking show who made a Whodini reference out of nowhere.

Chris Parnell at one point was very slept on, then he became the go-to guy that everybody called "The most slept on" inadvertently making him over appreciated and somewhat overrated. He's essentially SNL's Labcabincalifornia. He has an incredible talent for playing an absurd character as a straight-man and pulling it off without winking at the audience at all (most notably in the Christopher Walken centaur sketch) but too often I find he relied too-heavily on the default Chris Parnell schtick, which eventually became Dr. Spaceman on "30 Rock," which was effective in such small doses that it enhanced his legacy.

He's great on "30 Rock" and had a fun bit in Jingle All the Way though.

There should be separate distinctions between "Most Underrated long-timers" and "Most underrated Single Season" members. Rewatching these seasons on Netflix, Nancy Walls absolutely shined in every sketch she was in. For her brief half-season run, Janeane Garafalo was great too. Unfortunately, most of her best sketches contained copyrighted music, so the only really funny glimpse of her on the Netflix cuts is her Jeffery Dahlmer memorial on Weekend Update. Jerry Minor did a lot of great work as well.

In terms of multi-season cast-members, I'd like to echo the sentiment for Ellen Cleghorn and also add Melanie Hutsell. Finesse Mitchell was pretty underutilized in the mid-2000s, and I would have liked to see him get a shot at the Weekend Update desk.

Parnell was great as Dr. Spaceman, and kills it as Cyril on Archer as well. Obvious answer is Katan. Should do a poll for most underrated cast member as well.

Forte contributed the weirdest, most absurd characters/sketches during his time at SNL (shit yeah Alaska, Harrison is gold). Its a shame they're such nazis about their shit online, there's a few forgotten gems of his out there.

If anyone remembers the job interview sketch where dude eats some of of Forte's potato chips after bring warned not to it is mind blowing. He had funnier singing spots on Weekend Update than Fallon and Sandberg. He also made hilarious yelling a fucking sport.

Voted Kattan but it was close. Breuer wasn't great on the show, but he's naturally funny and took it for his appearance on Weekend Update with a bit about different liquors as ethnic groups.

I might've went with Finesse for this poll.

You diss Armisen, Wiig, or Spade, you diss yourself. That's crazy talk.

good news for Forte fans. He has a *chance* to go A-List.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1821549/
Following a bit of a bumpy road, director Alexander Payne’s drama Nebraska is now firmly on track and headed towards a production start. The film centers on an aging alcoholic father who decides to take a road trip from Montana to Nebraska to collect what he believes to be a million dollar Publisher’s Clearing House prize. His estranged son decides to accompany his father in order to keep him out of trouble. Payne was considering a number of esteemed actors for the lead and tried hard to coax Gene Hackman out of retirement, but we heard in May that Payne had his eye on Bruce Dern for the father role and Will Forte for the son.

Did anyone see the SNL with Justin Timberlake this weekend? One of the best ones in a long time.

Steve Martin
Dan Akroyd
Martin Short
Chevy Chase
Alec Baldwin
Paul Simon
Tom Hanks
Andy Samberg
Candice Bergen
Jay-Z, of course.

All within the first half-hour. It was pretty downhill after Weekend Update but none of the sketches save for one (Maine Justice) really went longer than it should have.

Loved all the cameos. Although Samberg's woulda felt more important if 1)He hadn't left less than a year ago and 2)He hadn't returned a few months ago.

Strange that they brought back Maine Justice but changed so little from the Jaime Foxx episode. And I loved the first Maine Justice but that was mostly due to it being so out of nowhere. Didn't work this time. Same for the champagne commercial. I would like to bang Cecily Strong into and out of a sinkhole though. It's pretty clear that SNL is desperate for new recurring characters for this cast, but they have yet to hit on anything worth repeating.

i thought , for the most part, the entire episode was kinda snl sucking it's own dick. Literally every scene was a rehashed version of some older shit.
That said, I actually liked the champagne commercial at the end but I had also never seen the original (they've done that before?).

Yeah they did it (like Maine Justice) on the Jaime Foxx episode, except it was an ad for diamonds (or some shit). But it followed the exact same formula with Jamie Foxx appearing as a male porn star at the end.
