nah rectify is sundance channel. couldnt be farther from sci fi.
There was some show that someone brought up on here that was called something like Rectify. Can't remember the name of it now. Still I'll give Rectify a shot.
defiance maybe?
That must've been it then. Anyways, what the fuck is Rectify about?

Speaking of under the radar shows, I tried to get some folks on here to fuck with Rogue but no one took the bait. Glad some of y'all fucked with Banshee though; that was my shit.

Never heard of rouge but i cancelled showtime. whats it about?

Banshee was too much for me after the first episode.

Rectify is slow but good. It is about a dude who gets released from death row after 19 years due to DNA evidence, the evidence only shows that he didnt spill his seed, not that he didnt rape and kill the victim. I am assuming he didnt kill her, it would be a weird twist if he did and a lot of other shit points to the fact that he didnt. Mostly the show is about him dealing with life after being locked up for 19 year for a crime he apparently didnt commit. and how the town/family he returns too deals with it.

Rogue is a DirecTV show. I only have cable and never bothered to seek out torrents.

Yeah, I watch Falling Skies. It's deliciously shitty, and the second season was much better than the first (kinda like how Southland got leaner and better once it went to TNT; although Southland was awesome and Falling Skies is def a guilty pleasure). From what I've read I think I enjoy it because I don't really mess with Sci-Fi at all, and supposedly it relies on a bunch of hoary old Sci-Fi tropes and cliches that I'm free to enjoy because they all go right over my head.

They jump a fair amount of time between last season and this season. Those new aliens were introduced at the very end of last season (maybe even the last shot), but they skip over everything about them until what you saw in these first two episodes.

Admitting to watching "Falling Skies" and, in the process, pretending that it is a guilty pleasure is about as believable as Dids operating a profitable, Dids-focused, live sex webcam channel.

Do you guys watch "Franklin & Bash" too?

Rogue is about an undercover cop who tries to find the killer of a her youngest son. The crime boss she investigates finds out she's an undercover but can't get her murked because they eventually ending up needing each other's help. The chick loses her badge and goes rogue and the crime boss damn near gets exiled by his flunkies/family to get betrayed over money and the undercover cop. Good show; only problem is that some of it is a bit emo for a suspense drama like that one.

I actually watched the whole thing friday night it was pretty decent, though a really heavy handed allegory for homosexuality and anti gay issues.

I will have to look for Rogue.

Pretty much, that chick has some serious chops. Pretty fun show too.

Just got around to the middle of the season of Orphan Black. Probably one of the most original and unique plots I've ever seen. So far, so good.

Good to see more people discovering Orphan Black. The DVD comes out in a few weeks, so hopefully more people will give the show a chance.

maybe marathoning isn't the best of ideas, might just catch one or two, take her slow as she seems to deserve

I found, that because of the pacing, marathoning it was a bit much. more than two episodes back to back and you start to wander off. Still even going 2 at a pop you can run through it in 3 days. shit bangs
