^ So I'm not sure if we're allowed to divulge book details for shit that has already happened in the show, but the book description of his death is a lot more graphic than how it was depicted last night (which I still thought was very good).

they need to director's cut this shit so bad. that random guy arya killed last week got a doper death even: at the last second of his life he realizes the painful irony of his misdeeds.

what happens in the book is exactly what happens on screen. he is poisoned and he dies a horrifically painful death while chocking, seizing and and bleeding. but some things that take 2 pages to describe on page only take 10 secs to to film

yeah i think people are confusing what may be more enjoyable to watch on screen from what would be a more painful death. getting your head cut off may be more visually and aesthetically pleasing but its over in an instant whereas coughing and then eventually choking and seizing as blood pours from your eyes and mouth is a much more brutal way to go out than something that is over quickly. obviously torturing that twisted fucker pre-death would have been what most viewers would prefer but i think the fact that he died this way, and further, in the SECOND episode of the season makes it clear that much bigger stuff is set to go down this season.

I thing we all wanted that satisfying death where Arya cuts each of his limbs off one by one and pissed in his eyes. But, again, not mad at how they did it. This show is all about pay offs where you least expect it.

Shit caught me totally off guard, and my first reaction was, "damn, Joff dawg goes out like that!?" Poisoned by who knows, without a satisfying FUCK U FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE U PIECE OF SHIT NOW DIE at the hands of Arya, Sansa or anyone else he's royally fucked over. But now upon contemplation, I'm thoroughly satisfied at the way he went out--like a bitch that he is, poisoned and played like a pawn instead as a king in the grand scheme. Plus his last thought as he died was that the midget uncle that he despises, that bitch slapped his ass, that out wits him on every occasion, got the last laugh. That in itself is satisfying enough for me.

The more I think about it definitely feels like Tywin and Cersei are responsible for offing Joff.

The Tyrells would be stupid to kill him before he planted the seed in Margerey. Unless they just wanted him dead.

So to my logic Tywin felt that Joff was getting out of pocket and the influence of Margery wouldn't be a good look going forward. They off Joff and Cersei is back to queen regent until the other son comes of age, who they feel would be easier to control.

Those are just my thoughts. For all I know I'm wrong and it will be revealed next week that it was Hodor.

From what we've seen in the show so far, it would seem that the hand (Tyrell) would take over until the little brother comes of age...? Or maybe that was just specific to Robert's wishes. Either way I hope Cersei goes next, i'm growing tired of her cuntyness.
