It was in the previews the week before. So I guess I expected it. Thinking back I'm trippin. The chillin stuff was awesome. How does Hannibal manage to get all this done? The stuff with Miriam, setting up chilton?

Fuller responded to someone on twitter asking if it's possible Chilton survived, and he said it was. It'll be kinda cheap if he survives, but I hope they don't kill him off this early.

I dunno. MIght have just jumped the shark for me. Killing the dude in the suit and delivering him to Hannibal like a proud cat was a little out there, but I was willing to give it a pass. Turning him to an out and out murderer though? The show has always functioned in it's own world, but this is just so ridiculous.

That's true. I don't even know if Chilton is dead for real or not. The preview for next week left me iffy though -

if freddie ain't dead, I'm assuming the flaming wheelchair is gonna be a red herring, which I'm not too keen on.

I feel a little tenuous going forward, but I've been needlessly skeptical of the show before. Michael Pitt was a highlight as well. I hope Mason sticks around for a while.

I don't think she's dead. He gave that speech to Jack when they were fishing about luring the catch. It would be a complete betrayal of the Will character if she is. (and stupid)

No way she is dead. I just don't see them diverting so far and then still using the flaming wheel chair. Would be a huge shark jump.

Pretty much, even though we know Fuller is making his own canon if Will becomes a murderer(and not just self defense even though beating a guy to death with your bare hands that has a mental problem is stepping dangerously close to the line) then it loses out on the whole dynamic with hannibal/will.

the sex scene was overboard on the faux artistic shots...loved will and Hannibal smirking at their shitty puns

Freddie's not dead yet. No one's dead on this show unless you see a body. Folks have forgotten what happened with Miriam Lass already.

Remember the beginning of this second season arc, when Will and Jack are ice fishing? Will says something about how the Chesapeake Ripper is a hunter, and hunters cannot be hunted but can be lured. And Jack says, you hook him, I'll reel him in. Hannibal has already shown that he'll succumb to exerting his influence and guidance on others that have shown the same kind of "interests", but those have always been in situations of unequal power. Will is baiting Hannibal with his friendship, one of equal footing and shared goals. And Jack is giving Will the space to do it.

Mason Verger looks like he's gonna be so much fun on this show. Also, those puns were awesome.
